​I recently purchased the SanDisk Professional 2TB drive, and I’m very impressed with the quality. I am using it for video editing and portability, mainly. Often, product photos can be misleading, but this device looks and feels exactly as pictured. ​If you are using a PC and the drive doesn't seem to connect or show up immediately, don't panic! The drive is likely pre-formatted for Mac. To get it working on Windows, you simply need to reformat it. Check the instructions! Look for the "Help" section in the manual that came in the box. There is a QR code provided that takes you directly to a guide on how to reformat the drive for Windows compatibility. Once reformatted, it works flawlessly and is incredibly fast. ​Overall, it's a solid, professional-grade device. Just make sure to follow that QR code, if you're on a Windows system!

Well made and good value for price. However it is still an old fashioned spinning disc drive and therefore quite slow compared to more modern drives.

I purchased a brand new SanDisk Professional 5TB G-Drive ArmorATD, and after only one month of use, it has completely failed. The drive powers on and the indicator light works, but I can no longer access any of my files. I’ve tried multiple cables and troubleshooting steps, but nothing has helped. This drive contained important data that unfortunately wasn’t backed up elsewhere, making the situation even worse. Given that this is a brand-new product and a significant investment, I expected much better reliability. What’s even more frustrating is the lack of support. When I contacted WD, I was told to use a third-party solution to recover my data. I ended up paying out of pocket for recovery software, only to be told afterward that they would not cover the cost. It feels completely unreasonable to have to pay extra just to access data from a drive that failed almost immediately. Overall, this has been a very frustrating and costly experience. I would not trust this product again and will be avoiding WD drives in the future.

Very happy with it. I tried what billed itself as a network attached drive, and found in the documentation that it wouldn't work a network. So I returned that and got this SanDisk for a USB solution. Worked straight out of the box and got my Mac Time Machine running with no fuss.

Needed a rugged, compact, high capacity drive for travel. This one fits the bill perfectly. Just be aware it will NOT mount in Windows - doesn't see it at all. Best option is to boot Linux and use GPARTED to partition and reformat to NTFS, or use a dedicated GPARTED boot disk and boot your computer into it. Three steps and done.

Bigger than expected, great in house, but too big for traveling in my opinion

These are the most reliable spinning disc external hard drives that I’ve found. If I have one, I have at least 15 in a variety of sizes. They’re workhorses!

Works well has a reasonable speed and so far survived two years of use on my cell Boat and my diesel RV

Purchased this November of this year. Plugged it into my PC via the USB-C connector and nothing. It gave a white light for power then turned to 3 quick flashes, solid white, then repeated. Got a dud on delivery. Very disappointed in such an item.
