LG 65QNED87T6B 65inch QNED 4K Ultra HD Smart TV, Model 2024
When it comes to purchasing a new television, discerning buyers often gravitate towards brands they trust. For me, Sony, LG, and Samsung have always stood out as the top-tier options. Today, we'll delve into a comprehensive review of the LG 65QNED87T6B TV, examining its features, performance, and overall value.Design and Build QualityThe LG 65QNED87T6B boasts a sleek and modern design, with thin bezels that provide an immersive viewing experience. The TV's build quality feels premium, with a sturdy stand that offers good support. It's a stylish addition to any living room, blending seamlessly with various décor styles.Display TechnologyAt the heart of the 65QNED87T6B is LG's QNED technology, which combines Quantum Dot and NanoCell technologies. This results in a vibrant color palette and enhanced contrast. The 4K resolution ensures crisp and detailed images, making it perfect for watching movies, sports, and playing video games. The TV also features Full Array Dimming Pro, which provides deeper blacks and more precise lighting control. This enhances the viewing experience, especially in dark scenes, by delivering better contrast and reducing halo effects around bright objects.Picture QualityOne of the standout features of the LG 65QNED87T6B is its exceptional picture quality. The combination of Quantum Dot and NanoCell technology produces vivid colors and excellent brightness levels. HDR performance is top-notch, supporting HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Vision, which ensures content looks its best, with improved detail and color accuracy. The TV's upscaling capabilities are also impressive, making lower resolution content look significantly better. This is particularly useful for watching older movies or TV shows.Smart Features and InterfaceThe LG 65QNED87T6B runs on the latest version of LG's webOS, which is user-friendly and intuitive. The Magic Remote, with its point-and-click functionality, makes navigation a breeze. The TV also supports voice control through Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, providing hands-free convenience. Streaming options are abundant, with support for popular apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, and more. The TV also has built-in support for Apple AirPlay 2 and HomeKit, making it easy to integrate with other Apple devices.Sound QualityWhile the LG 65QNED87T6B excels in picture quality, its sound performance is adequate but not exceptional. The built-in speakers provide clear dialogue and decent volume, but they lack the depth and bass that a dedicated soundbar or home theater system can provide. For an optimal audio experience, pairing the TV with an external sound system is recommended.Gaming PerformanceFor gamers, the LG 65QNED87T6B is a solid choice. It supports HDMI 2.1, which enables 4K gaming at 120Hz, and features Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM). These features ensure smooth and responsive gameplay, reducing input lag and screen tearing.ConnectivityThe TV comes with a comprehensive array of ports, including four HDMI 2.1 ports, three USB ports, an Ethernet port, and optical audio out. Wireless connectivity options include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, making it easy to connect a variety of devices.ConclusionThe LG 65QNED87T6B is an outstanding television that lives up to the high standards set by LG. Its combination of advanced display technology, smart features, and gaming capabilities make it a versatile choice for a wide range of users. While its sound quality may not be the best out-of-the-box, this minor shortcoming can be easily remedied with an external sound system. For those who, like me, trust only the best brands—Sony, LG, and Samsung—the LG 65QNED87T6B is a worthy contender. It offers a balanced mix of performance, features, and value, making it a top choice in its category.

LG 50QNED80 50"
Great tv, good price, amazing picture (could be faster, but hey, ok) very easy to setup. I like the fact that the VESA: 200x200 mount is the same as our old 43" tv. So far very happy with the purchase.

Nice unit (43) However the Menu system is cripplingly slow
First unit was DoA, fortunately Amazon quickly replaced - next day. Install on wall was fine. Setting up the apps and things you want should be easy and technically it is. However the On screen menu system is cripplingly slow and really looks like LG skimped on the available memory and processor capability. TV display is good though and Audio is fine. Going to use unit as a work monitor as well as a TV so yet to see how that goes.

At £322 this TV is an unbeatable deal. Fantastic as a PC monitor.
In short... I paid £322 for this TV and at that price it's an unbeatable deal. It makes a great affordable large format PC monitor.I have used 40"-43" TV's as my computer monitor for some time now and this is the best one yet.It has a fantastic response time meaning no noticeable lag or blur on the mouse cursor. The text is extremely sharp and it's got an excellent viewing angle with no washed out colours in the corners when sat only 70cm away. The colours are vibrant and blacks are pretty good too considering it's an IPS panel. Having a 43" variant is the perfect size for a PC monitor. Some other brands start at 50", which is far too big for this purpose.I have not used the smart or TV features, but they should be similar to my LG OLED as it has the same a5 gen7 AI processor and WebOS system, which is pretty good. The magic remote and menu's feel as responsive as on my OLED.The sound isn't brilliant as it's a little tinny and lacking bass, but that's not an issue for me as I mainly use headphones connected through a DAC from my PC. If you were to use as a TV, I would recommend a separate sound bar.My previous Hisense model lasted less than 4 years and it's a model which is still available at £279. I am so glad I paid a little bit more as this LG QNED is a far superior product.Yes, this QNED is not as good as the LG OLED I have in the living room, but that cost 3x as much.If you are on a budget and if you can stretch to £322-£350 I would highly recommend the LG QNED over the only slighly cheaper standard LED models. More so if you want to use it as a PC monitor.

My first LG
This was a replacement. The first arrived and seemed a little off putting. The replacement made up for that. It has a very easy to use menu and picture quality is good. I have no idea if it supports Dolby Atmos and Vision but the tv speakers seem crisp and clear.

Disappointed
I purchased this TV on March 11 and received it quickly—it was very well packed and easy to set up, apps seemed very useful list. However, my first disappointment was the sound quality. It’s nowhere near acceptable for enjoying music or movies. The screen and colours were good, but overall, I wasn’t very happy with the TV.While I was still considering whether to return it, my 2-year-old son threw a toy at the screen. The outer layer is intact, but the inner screen cracked, and now there’s no display—just sound. Given the price and the seemingly sturdy build, I’m shocked that a toy thrown by a toddler could cause such damage.I contacted Amazon, and they advised me to reach out to LG for a possible repair. I plan to contact LG soon, though I don’t know what to expect. It’s incredibly disappointing to be looking at repair options just three weeks after purchasing a £1,289 TV.

Great value
Easy set up, plenty of installed apps which can be added to, my preferred apps are a bit slow to load up but thats because my WiFi is not great, picture crystal clear and volume/sound is plenty loud enough for me, I purchased the 50inch model and very happy and great value for price I paid
