Just leaving this review for whoever needs a reference. I have a standard 9" thick twin size mattress. I bought the 6-9" version and it fit well. It's not a snug fit, it's nice and relaxed while still fitting, which is probably better as a really tight one may rip over time with this material. The top layer is like a thin towel feel; the rest of it is like a smooth polyester type blend, like what those thin summer tracksuits are usually made of. The construction seems good, and the zipper seems strong. It's super white. I will update if anything goes wrong or changes in the future.

I ordered two of these encasements; one for the mattress, and one for the boxspring. They sealed both units completely. the interior material is a stretchy waterproof nylon/plastic, and the exterior fabric on the top is similar to shallow terry cloth. The sides and bottom are a smooth fabric. The drawback is the encasement was a bit loose on my mattresses and boxspring. I have a 9-inch high mattress, and I bought the corresponding 9-inch model, but it was still a bit loose all the way around (about an extra inch on each side). Despite that it's stretchy fabric, it fits a bit loose. I think that if I added a 2-inch foam topper, the encasement would fit snuggly.

This is the 5th one of these mattress protectors that I have bought. They are great, stand up to a lot of washings, and completely protect the mattress from water bottle spills, potty accidents, and bloody noses. Kind of awkward to take on and off, but I also wanted one that would completely encase the mattress, so of course it's going to be awkward. I wanted one that would protect people with allergies from dust mites and I think this does a great job. I also needed it to be waterproof. I know it must be pretty airtight because often air gets trapped when I put it on and it looks like a dome instead of a mattress. I just open the zipper a few inches and push the air out. However, the last one I received here has a defective flap. The stitching over the flap that covers the zipper is loose and detached. Annoying, but I already washed and put it on the mattress before I realized it, so I can't return it.

I have an extremely messy child that no matter what punishment is dished out she will not stop bringing drinks and snacks into her room, the last bed went in the trash due to having mold growing on it tonight I went to change and wash her sheets and thank god this was on her mattress or else that mattress would have wound up in the trash soon as well it did its job to keep liquid out of the top and thankfully the bottom as well!!

We purchased the twin mattress for our kiddo when it was time to move out of the toddler bed set up. I liked that the mattress is CERTI-pur US and explicitly says in the paperwork you receive, that there is NO fiberglass in the mattress. Very reassuring. The first night that the mattress was slept on proved to be the best nights sleep my kiddo had ever had. It is on the firmer side but does have some give when you lay on it. Very supportive and comfortable mattress. Definitely worth the money spent. Highly recommend!
