This is such an awesome gift for a young girl. I got this for my friends daughter who is in the 5 th grade. She told me that these bead kits are all the rage. I highly recommend it. There is a really nice assortment of beads.

We ordered this kit to make bracelets on Easter. There were letter beads, but they didn't have all the letters, so we couldn't put our names on the bracelets. The scissors that come with the kit aren't very sharp, so you might need another pair to cut the string. The string you use to make the bracelet is a little stretchy. I wouldn't pull too hard on it. That said, it probably won't stretch out too much, which is a good thing. The case closes and latches well, so nothing will fall out.
