Works with Apple & Android devices
I have an older secretary style desk with a built-in unit for telephone (!), network, USB, and 3-prong outlets. But it was the old USB which did not support the newer devices (no intelligent charging), the outlets were too close together, and who uses a telephone cable any more? This item advertised compatibility with new devices, and the outlets were better configured. This unit is not as tall and not as wide as the original -- I knew that before I bought it -- but I had a friend create a mounting frame out of skinny 1/4" maple to fit the hole and it looks great. More to the point, the USB outlets work with the Android and Apple devices we have. However, I don't think it does "fast" charging unless you use one of the outlets with a special charger. Still, it works for general device charging, and I am satisfied with the product's features and performance.

Constant Beeping
I received the charger today, and it’s very pretty, but I decided to test it before cutting a big hole in my table. I plugged my iPad into one USB port, and heard the usual beep sound. Then I plugged my wife’s iPhone into another USB port. It made the beep sound, then my iPad beeped, then the iPhone beeped again, etc. The devices continued to alternate beeping, very annoying. Apparently the current alternates between the USB ports and each device thinks it is being constantly plugged in over and over... I really wanted this to work, but we can’t listen to the devices constantly beep. I will return this device and continue the search.

Easy install - works really well - charges quickly
I installed in a plastic cubby in my couch. I used plywood backer for the screws to secure the power outlets.The USB plugs charge quickly and the power plugs allow us to charge our laptops so we can finish work while hanging out on the couch.

Great buy
I installed this into my couch and absolutely love it. I would highly reccomend having a general knowledge of tools and carpentry before attempting to install this though. I have that and installed it on the baseboard of my sectional and it looks phenomenal.

Perfect Power Strip
This is a very nice looking power strip and it works perfectly. We inset it in a pantry cabinet and it is just perfect!! The outlet we used was behind the cabinet and not otherwise accessible. Great solution for us.

USB Charge
In a technological dependent age we live in, too many devices and not enough plugins is a recurring issue. I like the idea of having a few USB charge ports.
