Hard to fold as dry and stiif

I bought the leaves for a Venezuelan recipe and was expecting slightly larger leaves that were already ‘cooked.’ In some places, they sell them ready to use, but that wasn’t the case here. I had to pass them through hot water and then over fire to prepare them, as fresh leaves don’t work (at least not for my intended purpose). They don’t have any scent, so I hope this doesn’t affect the flavor of my dish. The leaves arrived cut in half, making them much smaller. It would be great if the description were more accurate because the product I got doesn’t match the photo.

I have ordered these 3 times now. The first time it was the best, reasonably clean only needed a wipe, long un damaged leaves. I was really pleased.The second time similar but a little dirtier.However recently the batch that came alot of the leaves were going off and alot were torn. They had to be boiled and left to dry to try and get rid of the mould so they could still be used. Was very very disappointed esp as they are so expensive.Cant see now I would buy them again. The way they were packaged was terrible compared to the first time.
