If a rucksack and a dry bag had an offspring.
This backpack is made from the same rubberised material as the cylindrical waterproof bags that are referred to as Dry Bags. It has welded seams all round and a roll down top opening with multiple plastic buckles to hold it in place. The backpack consists of the main internal compartment which has a small mesh pocket on the inside (with no way to fasten) and a single zip up pocket on the outside. The bonus of this backpack over a normal dry bag is you can wear this as a rucksack so your hands are free. As well as the shoulder straps there is a waist strap and a chest strap to prevent the backpack from moving about even during vigorous movements. As the backpack has no frame to it and it is quick flexible, the shape is completely dictated by what you put into it, so you will need to pack carefully to ensure you don't have objects sticking into your back. The roll down top will keep water out on a quick dunk but not for prolonged submerging like that of swimming.I would say the backpack is ideal for hiking in monsoon conditions or water sport like kayaking or paddle boarding where splashes etc are to be expected and you want the contents of the bag to stay dry.Overall, a great combination of a rucksack and a dry bag ideal for many outdoor activities, just a shame there is not more internal organisation options.

Weekend Camping Essential
Pros:I used this backpack for camping this past weekend and oh boy, was I impressed. Guess what? Even in the downpour, everything inside turned out dry. It's a best mate to have in any outdoor activity. The rucksack's tough materials held up great in rough terrain and constant use. This tells clearly that the bag is made to last.I could fit all my basics in with room to spare. The compartments allowed easy access to all contents and made it pretty organised.Hiking in this rucksack wasn't a problem at all. The straps and back panel were comfortable, so even when full, it doesn't feel burdensome.Beyond camping, this rucksack has proved useful for other activities like hiking and commuting. It seems to have become my all-purpose bag for any kind of travel.Verdict:This rucksack has been excellent in my recent camping trip in keeping my gear dry and organised through every challenge we have faced. Durability and comfort are the reasons why it has taken first place not only for your outdoor adventures but in everyday life too. I would suggest you try out this one if you're looking for a nice, all-around rucksack.

Drybag / rucksack hybrid for wet conditions
If you are familiar with dry bags, then you will not be surprised by the initial impression of this bag. It looks like a dry bag in terms of the uniform shape, tough waterproof material and with the standard mechanism for sealing it at the top to keep the content dry. Turn it over though and it has all the straps that you would expect on a hiking rucksack: pads on the back, two shoulder straps and two cross straps Whilst this bag does have one zip-up pouch it lacks the additional compartments, water bottle holders, clips etc that a lot of modern hiking rucksacks often have. The padding on the back and on the shoulder straps is fairly basic. Inside there is a single mesh pocket that can help you organise contents but other than that it is a single large compartment. There is a reflector on the back for visibility. While I have no doubt that this is waterproof, I would not plan to use this as a hiking rucksack unless I was going somewhere where immersion in water (e.g. wading through water courses) or heavy rain is expected, and it is important to have dry clothes to change into later (e.g. when hiking and camping). Where this could also really come into its own is for transporting equipment in a watery environment where being able to carry it as a rucksack and keep your hands free could be extremely useful. For my standard hiking where I have dry accommodation to return to and having wet rucksack contents is not a disaster, I will stick with a more conventional rucksack with a rain cover when required, but under the right circumstances this one would be very handy.

I happily recommend this bag to anyone that wants a bag that is completely waterproof
This is such a good idea and saves having to carry a separate waterproof cover for backpack inside backpack just in case it rains…………..simply take this and know that it is waterproof, dustproof, sandproof etc all of the time.Per photos included with this review, the bag when empty weighs 897g – so it is heavier than most traditional material backpacks of similar size, but that is to be expected since this is made from fully waterproof material.Per photos included with this review, the bag when empty has dimensions of around 70cm h x 38cm w x 12cm d at bottom with an opening at top to around 27cm across.Per photos with review, there is a zipped pocket on the outside front which is around 27cm h x 19cm w, and there is an open mesh pocket on the inside of the bag on the back panel.Per photos with review, the bag has padded shoulder straps (padding is good quality and feels like will last well) and there is adjustable chest and waist straps. To do the bag up you need to roll the top 2-3 times over and then use the clips. There are side clips if want bag shape to be rectangular or if want to close like a traditional dry bag can still do so creating a pyramid shaped bag (please see photos with review). With either method there is then an extra strap at top of bag that clips over for added security / peace of mind.I happily recommend this bag to anyone that wants a bag that is completely waterproof that can be worn as a backpack and that with 38L of storage capacity can fit a lot inside. I feel current selling price of £50 is alright value but would not want to see it priced higher than this.
