Royal Doulton 1815 Highball Glasses, Set of 4

First impressions are these are very high quality glasses, as would be expected from a brand such as Royal Doulton of course!They come very well packaged, nice and snug, so there is very little chance of breakage during transport, which is reassuring when you are spending quite a lot of money on something inherently fragile.Appearance wise I really like the look of these, with the lower third of the glass in a nice sky blue colouring, and the fact that they hold 500ml means they are a lot larger than they first appear from the photos, which means they can hold a lot of liquid..Great for iced coffee perhapsPrice wise these are definitely on the higher end of the scale at £70, but they are very high quality, and when you tap them you can hear the crystalline ring which is very pleasing, and which you do not get with a normal glass. The only downside to these being of a higher end price is that it does make you somewhat hesitant to use them for normal every day usage, but if you are going to be entertaining guests then these are a perfect set to impress friends and family, and I personally will be keeping them safe for special occasion useage. I would not recommend dishwashers either due to the risk of damage.Overall if you enjoy high end glassware, then these are a great addition to the collection, just be aware they are quite fragile by their nature, so keep them somewhere safe!

This set comes in excellent branded packaging from Royal Doulton. It protects the contents very well.These are large 500ml rounded tumbler-type glasses. They have a delicate blue tint that goes about 40% up the side. It has a nice wavy pattern, actually it looks like ripples. This colour choice makes it look great with bluish or watery drinks, but not so appetising with orange juice and the like.They are dishwasher safe, which makes them a practical product that can be used every day.They have a decent amount of weight so they won’t knock over easily, but are not too heavy to be annoying.For the price of £70 these are perhaps a bit expensive for most people, but they are certainly excellent quality.
