Eat yourself clean helps you clean up your act
Great book. Preface gives you the science and the author's personal journey. Not all recipes will be to your taste but there are plenty to get you on the road to better intestinal and overall health. Then you get a bit excited about whole foods and start to come up with your own adaptation of a recipe. Added to Dr Michael Mosely's fast diet which also advocates whole foods with fasting and I feel like I am on the right track.

A neutral 3 stars. The book description says nothing about the recipes included but a great deal about the life and times of Ching-He Huang. Asian food cooked in a wok covers a wide field of menus. For all I know from the intro they could all be squid recipes. Squid is pretty clean but I don't want to eat such a magnificent creature. More cooking help and less philosophy. Everybody from China isn't Lao Tsu.

Lack of pictures is disappointing
I can't fault delivery or company as it arrived in perfect condition and on time but the book itself I was disappointed I have brought other Ching-he books and loved them but the lack of pictures ect really put me off I eat with my eyes I cannot read a recipe and want to try it I want to see pictures, drool and think I HAVE to try this!!

fabulous book, delicious easy asian inspired recipes
Love this book- initially was disappointed as had been expecting a traditional Chinese cooking book (d'oh clearly didn't research this book adequately!) After I got over the disappointment I have been very impressed by how delicious, healthy and easy the dishes are. The recipes have encouraged me to use new products I wouldn't normally use (all can be bought from usual supermarkets and as her recipes tend to use the same sorts of condiments once you buy them they can be re-used many times). I am now a fan of Tamari, Mirin and Miso!I should also say- I am a very reluctant cook, I don't enjoy cooking but like eating nice food and this book has been a welcome addition in our kitchen.

Fresh and healthy recipes
Fresh and healthy recipes beautifully presented. This is a great way to get people using that wok that sits in the cupboard and only comes out a couple of times a year for the occasional stir fry. Some of the recipes look a little complicated on first viewing but the instructions are easy to follow and much of the ingredients are down to personal taste. There are also some great and unusual combinations which should appeal to the more adventurous. Definitely a vast improvement on the usual diet/healthy eating books.

Great guidance on lifestyle and recipes for a healthy life and diet
As someone who eats healthily as a lifestyle choice I found the recipes and general guidance really helpful and sound advice. For me it help me lose wait and gain energy!

Packed full of recipes and tips for a healthier life.
Well presented book with a nice friendly, conversational tone. Ching tells you what changes she has made and why and leaves the rest up to you. Lots of recipes but in the kindle edition not all had pictures which was a shame. This book is great for those struggling with some health issues and shows the power of changing what you eat.

Easy to follow and exciting food to make and enjoy. I got my wok out as soon as the book arrived. I heard Ching-He on a radio interview and fell in love with her enthusiasm and descriptions, the books live up to it.

Best cook book ever.
We have been eating from this book for a few weeks now and it is great, tastes good, great choice of meals. When made looks exactly the same as the picture. This is the only recipe book we have used so frequently, brilliant.

Disappointing book
I thought this book was pretty weak really. Very different from Chings other books, which are great. Lots of preamble talking about her health, which is really really rudimentary, and the recipes aren't very interesting at all.
