AMD Ryzen 5 8400F processor (6 Core/12 threads, 65W TDP, AM5 Socket, 22MB Cache, up to 4.7GHz max boost frequency, with wraith stealth cooler)

The AMD Ryzen 5 8400F is not a bad cpu. Price needs to come down to about 100 pounds, then is would be good for price to performance. Had watch a lots of technical videos about this cpu, all bad. Thought I would still but it, arrived with 24 hours. Tested on a Asrock A620M Pro RS, system overlooked the cpu right out. It now reaches a 4.8ghz instead of 4.7ghz. Tested with a RTX 4060 Gigabyte Eagle at 1080p. Very impressive performance, most games were reaching 100 frames. So I would recommend this cpu, just the price needs to reflect it.

With the new graphics card too, the processing of AI, for example, is about four times faster. Haven't timed Photoshop processing, but it's obviously much better and other hefty programs load faster. Exactly what was expected.

Works fine ideal for mid range build

My first AM5 build and my first with the 8400F and I am happy I selected it. Running under Linux Mint currently it works very well and was very easy to insert into the socket on the motherboard as the processor doesn't have pins - it just has a sea of contact points on the underside. It dropped into the socket easily as its got a couple of slots to make sure you can't put it the wrong way round and the 'lid' of the socket then calmps down over it. Gaming potential will be tested when I add the proper graphics card to the rig but running on an older temporary one its no really breaking into a sweat with anything I have thrown at it at the moment. Temperatures seem good with the stock cooler as well. All in all very happy with this purchase.

While it has served it's purpose, it has a surprisingly low cache, which I didn't realise.

De 10. Un procesador bueno a abuen precio. Si quieres lo mejor de lo mejor, échale un par de cientos de euros más. Si quieres AM5 a buen precio, este y el 7500f son las mejores opciones. Tengo ambos y este me está dejando mejores resultados.
