I bought this as a gift. My partner climbed Kilimanjaro quite a few years back and he said the illustration and photography bought all those memories flooding back to him. I was impressed with the book also. A wonderful gift for anyone thinking of climbing, who has climbed or just loves to learn about amazing places.

This was a bought as a secret santa pressie for an intrepid explorer at work who had recently been to Kilimanjaro, he absolutely loved it. Photos were lovely, did the job!

This was a gift for someone who had walked up Kilimanjaro for charity. He was very impressed with the photos and the book overall.

Made the trip in 2013 on a different route. different perspective but great words and pictures. recommended before heading off up the hill

Gorgeous well constructed book, with absolutely stunning photo's.

Brilliant book I bought after summiting Kili in late 2018. I thought it was just photographs and only recently got round to picking it up. The account of the authors climb is spot on and brought back so many wonderful memories of the experience and the people on that beautiful mountain. A great read for anyone who wants to climb Kilimanjaro or wants to relive the experience with stunning photography.

Though I used a different route from the author, the book has given me really good idea about the trip. Besides, it is fun to read.The sun rise pictures worth a million. I did not have that energy to take pictures of the sun rise while fighting altitude sickness.I shared the book with the local guides, they loved the pictures too.

I found this book really useful to help get my mind and some of my gear prepared for my scheduled climb to Kilimanjaro this June. It was great because I will be doing the same route at the same time of year, and I was looking for a more personal account of the experience. I am already an experienced wilderness traveler, but this is an stretch for me to do this trip due to altitude and the varying conditions to be encountered. The photos are beautiful, and the author's descriptions of his experience were clear and personal. A very quick read, but a book to keep and go back to after the experience. Now I know what pictures I will not have to take because I already have them in the book.

Yo! Kilimanjaro! This is a great picture book & useful journal of mountaineering up the mountain. Quotes are touching. A great coffee table book. LOVE IT.

Reminds me of my 2016 climb to the top before sunrise1

My brother-in-law was making a a long dreamed of trip to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro at the first of the new year and I thought what better Christmas Gift !!!! Well! as I write this he is in Africa, has successfully completed a clinb to the summit and my sister and I got to enjoy the trip along with him as we read this beautiful book and I know he will also emjoy it for many years to come...Thanks,Martha Marshall
