I had probably the original phone grip/holder on that phone - the old iRing which was a rotating ring mounted onto a sticky backed plastic square. I really loved that iRing - it never fell off and I was so used to the ring and being able to loop it over my index finger and grip the phone with the rest of my hand. When I got my new phone I got a Mag Safe case and a Pop Socket. I hated the Pop Socket - I found it so uncomfortable - it actually made my fingers hurt, and I was always putting my finger over the camera. It also wasn't very secure as the pop part came off a few times although the magnetic part was almost impossible to get off for charging.Looking for an alternative I came across this - seemed very similar to the iRing concept so decided to try. The magnetic ring is strong - holds tightly to the case while the ring rotates allowing it to be positioned for maximum comfort and grip. Reminds me so much of my old iRing. To remove it I just slide it to the side off the magnet. It functions great as a kickstand too - easily supports the phone at a good viewing angle in either portrait or landscape orientation.The holder seems to be sturdy and well made. I like how it looks on my phone too. I did a few fling tests while holding the grip and my phone didn't go flying off, so it past the test. While the magnets are strong, it's also quick and easy to pull off if needed.
