Made of quality volcanic rock, the size & shape is of restaurant quality. I have it out as decor in my game room as it’s just so lovely.

I bought this as a gift for a friend and they absolutely love it. They said they basically use it every day.

It’s a little unstable but I understand if it’s carved from rock it’s probably difficult to make symmetrical

I use it to grind up dried peppers. It works well for this, but you definitely need to have the desire to do things the old way because a food processor would work faster.

I never received an email how to properly season this nor the links to the recipe book. Papers in my package were unreadable and tore up as well as having stamps across the writing

This makes a great chimichurri. Very authentic! It’s a great size and heavy so no slipping around while using.

This is just like the one my grandma had used all the time and I wanted one like hers and this is almost identical. Once you season it and start using it more it's something that will last you for years to come. Only gripe I have is the tortilla warmer, isn't really authentic which is fine because that's not why I bought the molcajete but I was hoping for something more hand made rather than a cheap mass produced thing.

The tejolote (pestle part) is so tiny that it's pretty much unusable. The Molcajete itself is good and seems authentic as far as I can tell. For that it gets 3.5 stars. Very unfortunate that I need to go find a decently sized tejolote now for this to be usable.
