The only portable AC you need
The media could not be loaded. I am a cold weather person. So every time in summer, I have to have the air conditioner. But sometimes you don't have a luxury to have central air conditioned house. So you need those portable kind ACs.I have been looking for a good portable AC since the summer started and my search ended with this product. At first, I was skeptical about it. But when it arrived, my opinion started to change. The product was packed very securely and with the pristine condition. It says in the manual that keep it standing for 24 hours before you start using it. The set up was extremely easy and well explained in the manual. It is a compact size machine and casters are smooth, even on the carpet.I have used it for more than a weak now. The air it blows make the room cold very fast. The capacity of this machine is not enormous and that's obvious for a portable machine. So expect it to make one roon cool. And it does... Very quickly. There is a slight noise because of the fan and haven't found any water leakage so far. If you run dehumidifier, it will remove water so connect the pipes for that.Overall, this machine has a good performance and it is a cute looking AC. For this price, I think it is worth buying.

Works well
I bought this unit for my grandsons room. He had a problem in the guest room not getting cool. If I put the central air low then I was to cold and it was expensive to cool the whole house. He keeps his door shut and Florida is very hot in the summer. We set it up, he runs it on 70 and it’s cools his room fine. We placed a dishpan for the hose to drain as it does pull a lot of water out of the air. It fit in the window fine but we did use white duct tape to seal any light that came in around the tube. I installed window locks above the window as well as an alarm if anyone tries to open the window. Security was an issue for me on the ground level. Both locks and alarm cost about $20.00.So far no issues. He is cool and it’s working fine.I’m not sure about the cost to run it as my central air has been running non stop this summer set at 77 degrees. The outside temp has been in the 90s. With the current inflation, my bills are all a lot higher than a few years ago. It’s fairly quiet while running so as not to disturb sleep.

Died within three months
It worked well enough for keeping the bedroom at a decent temperature (moastly the area in front of the unit cool) but alas, it bit the dust two and a half months after getting it. Super disappointed, since it was $300. Return window has closed and can’t find any warranty info (still looking).

Hard to set up exhaust.
Works well to cook a small space. The dehumidifier function work great! It leaks a little on both modes when it’s very humid out. The exhaust pipe was frustrating to connect!

Impressed with my first portable AC unit
An air-conditioning solution was needed for a room with tall skinny windows. Also, a conventional window-mount unit was not appropriate in this location as it faces a public area.Doing the math, the area to be cooled is 420 square feet and 3780 cubic feet. While the square footage is a little more than this Loorow unit is rated (400), it was close enough to give a try. I am certainly glad I did. After about 14 days of usage during the hottest weather that has been in the news recently, this unit has performed flawlessly. I have the temperature currently set at 70 degrees. I have observed that the room temperature will get as low as 68 degrees, and then the unit will turn off. When the temperature reaches 73 degrees, the unit will turn back on. So, averaging that out, it is 70/71 in the room. I am quite happy with this considering the outside temperature was hovering around 100 degrees - not counting the humidity. I have the thermometer installed on the opposite side of the room.Would I buy this Loorow AC unit again? At this point, we are still in the honeymoon stage, but yes, I would. This is my first portable AC unit ever purchased, and I admit I had low expectations, especially from a brand I have never heard of. Absolutely color me impressed. This unit could explode tomorrow, and I would change my review. For now, I have all positive things to say. Now, I know AC units will produce some water, but you may not. Be aware that there is a small hose that attaches to the rear of the unit for the water removal. Depending on your situation, a small pan or bucket might be necessary to collect the water. Not much is mentioned about this aspect on the Amazon page you are reading right now, so it might be a surprise when you have it in your home. This is covered in the instruction booklet, by the way.For my situation, I have the AC unit slightly elevated with the drainage tube descending into a small bucket that is tucked behind. As of today, there is really only a small amount of water in the bucket, but a bucket or pan will be needed when installed.Edit Update 2024-07-23: A slight modification of the window exhaust adapter plate now allows the AC unit to drain the water out the window. Basically, a small hole the diameter of the drainage hose was drilled in the plastic adapter which now allows the water to drain outside with no bucket needed inside anymore. Note that this method works best when the AC unit is elevated higher than the bottom of the window. This current installation instance is where the windows are tall and skinny, with the bottom of the window only about six inches above the floor.

Ice cold A/C for emergencies or spare rooms
This air conditioner has kept my office room ice cold while my central HVAC was under repair. The cord has a convenient spot to attach it into the unit which makes it easy to roll it out of the way into a closet. It runs very quiet and has not impacted my ability to sleep. 10,000 BTU is actually more powerful than the window units I was considering, so the device performs great even when its over 100 degrees outside. This item is a great value and works great off a 3000w generator as well if you need to run it without access to power. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase.

Need a Portable HVAC?
This is a good product, however, the connection on the back of the machine to allow the units connection to vent, is poorly made. The hose connection at the rear of the unit is wonky (cheaply made/does not fit well). Same with the window vent connection. The unit is not particularly quiet on regular or sleep mode. We keep this as a spare, however, would not recommend for everyday use. The overflow valve on the back of this unit has to be plugged in and will drain into a small container that each user will supply. So, when it's humid, you will need to make sure to check for condensate that could overflow into your receptacle. Not recommended.
