The OSMOCOTE products are perfect for your outdoor and indoor plants. The smart release plant food plus is easy to use and provides excellent results. Apply as directed and you are sure to receive the same results. Definitely a quality product. My bag was damaged at some point in the boxing process (see pictures) so if your box sounds like it has bbs rolling around inside before you open it you probably have the same issue. For the life of me I can’t see how the packer missed it. I need to feed plants now so I am skipping the replacement process but I really hate paying for damaged products.

I bought these to help grow some Shasta Daisies I picked up from a neighbor who divided her large clump. Very easy to use. Comes with a spoon. Scoop and add to soil. Repeat every six months. No results just yet, as I had just fertilized and hopefully I will come to update later on. Time will tell, but the fertilizer ingredients sound very promising! Update: It’s now Nov 7 2025, and my fertilized Shasta daises are STILL blooming! I live in NE and temps have dropped to low 60’s daytime and in the high 40’s overnight, yet.. they are still blooming. This fertilizer is definitely promising for the spring which is when I plan to use the fertilizer again. Update 2: It’s Nov 18 2025. Flowers are still there. Weather has been a mix of the low 50’s & 40’s. Overnights have dropped to 30’s. The flowered daisy buds are still there swaying so pretty in the wind, and leaves still dark green & healthy, although I have stopped watering them for a month now. The fertilizer is magical!

Osmocote fertilizer pellets are an easy way to feed all your indoor and outdoor plants. Whether you grow exotic houseplants or plants common to outdoor flowerbeds, Osmocote is an easy to use fertilizer that really helps your plants reach their full potentials. Simply mix in the required amount of pellets/bead with your potting mix or garden soil, or toss some on top of the existing potting mix of plants you have already potted. It's readily released into the potting soil or garden soil whenever you water, so it functions whether it's mixed into the potting medium or if it is scattered atop the medium's surface, though typically I prefer to mix it into my potting medium so that plant roots are able to reach it readily. Either way, though, this product works very well. Just be sure not to overdo it. Follow the recommended fertilizing instructions on the package, since over doing the fertilizer on any plant can and will burn them. I use this in my flower beds, but also in all my container pots. I also use this as an occasional fertilizer for some of our shrubs like azaleas, camellias and hydrangeas, as well as on some of our ornamental trees like our snowball tree. Our snowball tree, for example, is heavily loaded with beautiful flowers this year thanks to the Osmocote I adminstered when I first planted it and which I repeated just last year. Osmocote does a great job with flowering plants, like angel's wing begonias, ajuga and lantana, and it works perfectly with bulbs such as caladiums, too.

I have been an advocate for this product for many years to allow fertilizing oranmentals over several months with a single application. Just grab a handfall and broadcast across a large area. Make sure to water immediately after application so as to not burn the foilage of plants. The only downside is that the cost of this product has *multiplied* in the last year. Raw material price increases should only raise the price moedestly, not multiple-fold. Hence, I use this produce sparingly, making a bag last multiple times longer.

This product is my go to next to composting banana peels and organic egg shells for the garden. Bought a large bag to save long term since I do a lot of pollinators in various gardens, strawberry patch, grape vines, etc. Even used some on the grass. Wow factor. I have a small 10 by 10 patch of grass and everything else is polinator flowers, food, and stone work. The grass I laid as sod struggled on year due to neighbor dogs. Fenced it so now every spring the only issue is adding grass seed in spots that are bare. This year I’ve let the grass grow a little longer to become robust and ward off this heat wave we’re having. Worth the light sprinkle of this product the grass filled out and looks the best it ever has in four years since I dug up the mess and laid sod. When I repot use this in the bottom by the roots. Everything always grows robustly as a result. Very happy with this product. The large bag is perfect and at a savings. Plus sub and save adds a little savings, too ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💯

This 8 pound bag should last a while. It’s a pretty good fertilizer. It is a slow release, long lasting inground fertilizer. I use both in my house plants and in my aquarium as root tabs using gelatin caps. Recommend.

Very high quality slow release fertilizer. Plants responded great. Need to offer a 25 or 50 lb bag option and a discounted price/lb.

Expensive however it is constantly feeding the plants for 6 months
