Fantastic little plug- in floor sweeper. Amazing how much cat hair and cat fluff ( only 1 cat) it picks up,I have hard floors downstairs,expensive real wood and ceramic tiles, and lots of rugs, even in kitchen, and new hall stairs and landing carpet which is not fluffy but Is a very thick pile I am telling you about what type of flooring I have because it covers just about every type of flooring you may have in YOUR house in case you are wondering if this sweeper will work for you..This brilliant little sweeper is magic and tackles everything with ease, down to the smallest crumbs in the kitchen. It does NOT have suction, but brushes spin round at a tremendous speed and sends the crud straight into its collection box which is near the rotating bristles.Just slide the collection box out from the side,,tip it out and slide back in, sooo very easy. No fiddly clips or buttons to press/ pull squeeze together.to empty or put back.it is extremely lightweight to use,a child of 3 years old could do it with ease ( I know that because my nearly 3 year old Granddaughter likes to “help” me by pushing this sweeper in every direction you could think of around the house ) It just needs me to do the many bits she has missed, when she has gone home of course, would not want her upset, bless her.. I must say that when it arrived I had a feeling it would not do the job,and would fall to bits with the vibration when turned on.YES IT IS NOISY, sounds like a childrens play thing BUT IT WORKS LIKE MAGIC. I have a full size plug in wall socket vacuum which I use for a really deep clean now and again,when I feel strong enough to lug the blooming heavy thing from room to room. I very rarely leave reviews, but this small and mighty sweeper is the best thing I have bought in a long time.

Light and easy to manoeuvre. Ideal for those days you don’t want to drag out the heavy one that’s lurking in the cupboard.😂

Bought to replace my previous g-tech which finally ran its course Have the stick like hoover , so decided to get the sweeper type , it does feel more flimsy . But does what it should , so hopefully it lasts as long as my previous one

SCREECHING SOUND ON THE TILES . HANDLE FLIMSEY , TOP HANDLE GRIP POOR FIT, FRONT PLASTIC COVER FALLS OFF, THE HOOVER PICKS UP WELL. LIGHT TO LIFT THIS IS MY THIRD GTECH HOOVER AND BEEN VERY HAPPY WITH THEM THIS IS THE WORSED CARPET SWEEPER

I purchased the Gtech SW22 for my elderly mother for its lightness and ease of use, but as a carer I have been the one that has ended up using it on my weekly visits! After eleven months of using the carpet sweeper what I most like is its lightness, manoeuvrability and ease of use or function. I find it a pleasure to use and it is very effective at picking up pieces and fluff from wool/man-made fibre carpets and vinyl floors. I am always surprised at the amount of fluff it picks up after a sweep; particularly keeping in mind that it is not a vacuum cleaner. The charging station is effortless to use and the only thing you have to bend down for is to empty the dust container, which is best done on a regular basis every one or two cleans. At first the slight static charge in the dust collecting container was an irritation, until I realised without it the dust and fluff would spill out of the container too easily. It just means tapping it a couple of times when emptying the contents into a bin. Some have commented that they find the motor noisy. While admittedly it is not a refined sound, I haven't personally found it to be disturbing (and I am sensitive to noise as a HSP). In fact I find it reassuring that it is working hard and is effective. It is easy to assemble (if you follow the instructions properly) and the height of the handle is adjustable. The one criticism that I would make is that the ratchet system that allows extension or retraction of the handle height, could have been designed with greater precision. When I first used the sweeper I was sensitive to movement within the handle through the pushing and pulling sweeping motions; although I quickly ceased to notice this through regular use. Perhaps the biggest downside amongst all the positives is the price, which is not a sneeze for most people.

Have had to return the sweeper, as there was a visible gap between the visor and the main body, such that more dust and debris was thrown out into the atmosphere thence back onto the floor as ever went into the dedicated container! Will order another one as, basically, it is a good product, and its predecessor has lasted for years, but will look out for this problem before assembling it.

I purchased this because it’s so light and perfect for the caravan. It’s so good around the house for a quick tidy up. It picks up really well. Happy with it

This one’s a winner! I was in the market for a carpet sweeper for small jobs and touch ups, and I came upon this one; it’s a little workhorse! It’s battery charged, gets under and around everything. I love that it’s self propelled and is rechargeable. I used it for over an hour and it was still charged. The handle is comfortable I would say, even for arthritis sufferers whose hands are compromised, it’s not just a stick! Cleanup is so simple, too. I’m entertaining thoughts of getting another one just for my sewing room! Don’t let this one get away!

Broken after just a few months

Does the trick on hard floors, not for carpets with long hair. Battery hold pretty good, recharge quickly. Noise level is a little high but it's not a big problem for me. Update at 8 months: still going strong, I use it every days especially in the dinning and kitchen areas, battery is charging nicely, easy to empty.

The unit did provide good suction although at a very loud volume. Problem was that it broke after 2 months of use and Gtech told me that they couldn't help me as they had no replacement units for provide me.

Great little vac. Plenty of power, but seems a bit cheaply made. So far, it's been great. Works well on low pile carpet and vinyl flooring. Perfect for quick cleaning or area rugs.
