Well, these are the real deal. I am impressed by the quality of the leather. They have an excellent pantina out of the box, which is very impressive, and a fantastic smell. The leather is supple and soft, and surprisingly flexible. It's not stiff at all, which is really nice. There's an elastic band around the cuff, which is nice for stuffing pants in, or if you have bigger ankles. Overall, I'm super impressed by these boots. They are a little larger than I expected, but it's no big deal, especially since, you know, when I'm wearing boots, sometimes you have thick socks or whatever, a lot of things can go on. But if you're afraid of them being large, I'd size down maybe just a little. All in all, though, no issues at all. Super impressed by the quality. They are genuine boots, the real deal. I would definitely recommend them.

I had purchased a different version of these boots just before Christmas. They had a more rugged/worn look to them. These have the toe effect which makes them look dressier. The previous version were too wide at the toe section. Probably a double E. These boots feel more like a D width which is perfect for my ffeet.

First thing I'll note is that these are true to size so my size 10.5 foot is a little loose in the size 11 that was available, but a pair of thicker socks solves that issue. They are really comfortable to wear and walk around in. Unlike traditional cowboy boots, these are easy to slide on and get out of and what I think I like most is that because they don't cover your as much (or any really) of your leg below the knee as traditional boots, they are much less hot, quieter and more comfortable than the full height boot. And the fact that they look good enough to get compliments (I got a few each time I wore them) doesn't hurt either.

I ordered the J's.o.l.e Ankle Cowboy Square Toe Boots for men in a size 13 and color brown for my husband and he loved them even before he tried them on. He said the fit was perfect; the insides are well cushioned and padded; and they are very comfortable to walk in. There is an elastic panel on the side and pull tabs which has eliminated the need for him to constantly bend and tie his shoes. He said they are very easy to put on as well as take off. My husband stated the boots have been designed a little differently, and they now look more like a nice pair of leather boots and he loves them. I easily rate them 5 out of 5.
