I made an account in the Tuya App and was a straightforward process.Overall, this ceiling fan has exceeded my expectations in terms of both aesthetics and functionality. This ceiling fan was a fantastic purchase. We bought 2 for our kids rooms and the installation couldn’t have been easier. I love the low profile and modern look and with the variety of speeds it keeps every room cool. And it is incredibly quiet too. You won’t regret buying this.

Before you start installing this fan, be prepared for an upper body workout! I've replaced several ceiling fans in my house in the past year, and this is definitely one of the heaviest ones I've handled. The good news is, the body of the fan is made out of real metal—not just that plasticky stuff painted metal-colored. Even if that makes the unit heavier, this always gives me hope for the durability of an appliance, whether or not that hope is justified.Apart from the weight, this fan is pretty easy to install, even if you're new to ceiling fans. You'll have to use wire nuts for the standard hot, neutral, and ground wires, which requires standard electrical know-how. After that, the wires attached to the remote transmitter box easily snaps in with plastic connectors, as does the light fixture. A huge advantage of this fan over some others I've installed is that there's plenty of room inside the ceiling canopy for the remote transmitter, so you won't have to strain to cram all of the wires inside a tiny little area.On the other hand, attaching the actual fan unit to the ceiling can be a bit challenging. In theory, you just lift up the body of the fan and twist the unit onto the two screws sticking out of the ceiling bracket. In actuality, I had a lot of trouble catching both of them at the same time, though, perhaps because of slight differences in the curvature of the bracket and the motor unit. That means a lot of time balancing a heavy fan unit over your head as you try to get it in place.In the end, though, this fan stayed securely attached to the ceiling, which is pretty impressive considering the speed that the blades reach. I love that the DC motor makes it much quieter than my previous fan, even while it puts out exponentially more wind power! The remote feels kind of bulky and old fashioned, kind of like an '80's cell phone, but that might actually make it easier to use for older people, or for anyone who has trouble with small buttons.This may not be my favorite ceiling fan ever, but it's a solid choice and would be a huge improvement in terms of lighting, cooling, and efficiency over any ceiling fan older than 10 years old.

Easy to install. I replaced an old fan in my guest bedroom. I like it so much I ordered 2 more for my master bedroom and family room.

Took down the old fan installed this new one couldn't get it to sync with the remote I have another fan I just bought that syncs automatically. Returning it don't want another one of these all the work that went in installing it and now it doesn't work.

1. Previously bought and returned one similar but with three blades. On niether of these fans could I get wifi to connect, which is main reason I bought these fans. There is a black wire from the receiver that is accompanied by no instructions at all. Someone told me that it is supposed to stick out the housing but there is no hole, vent or slot for it to protrude. Will try to do so, however, that means I have to do a partial disassembly.2. The remote generally works well, generally. Sometimes I have to hit the light button more than once to turn light on or off.3. As for the phone app, at first I thought there was a two second or so delay in engaging the buttons but now I realize l have to hit the keys a number of times to engage.The fan gives off a good amount of breeze, is quiet and has little to no vibration. Just wish wifi would work.Note:In same room I recently installed an led floor lamp with alexa using the Tuya/Smart Life app and the wifi connection on that was swift, painless and works flawlessly.Update: I contacted seller last Fri and it’s now Tue and they didn’t even respond. Going to return this fan. Beware dealing with this seller.

The SODSEA 52" Ceiling Fan solved both of our problems in our home office. First, we needed air circulation that was adequate enough for afternoon sun exposure, and second, we needed adequate lighting in the evenings in our home office space. Problems solved with an additional bonus of the remote, which we attached to the wall. It is so handy by not having to look for it!

This fan exceeded my expectations and is so powerful. It cools the room in literally seconds.
