Very good low-budget option
The tent is very good for its price point. The two doors are great they also have two zippers to adjust what parts of the door open. The headroom in the tent is very good and I was able to fully sit up without problem. The setup was very easy and only took me a few minutes. The stakes that come with the tent are very good, similar to the MSR ones and seem to be pretty lightweight. The pack down size is nice and can easily be squished down even smaller than the carrying sack they provide. There are two storage pockets on the inside of the tent and has a spot for a light on top. Overall a really nice tent with solid build quality.

Both the Granite and Peridot are our camping group "default" tents
I was looking for a relatively budget tent that I could recommend to people in my camping group, and after looking at a ton of options from various decent brands, kept landing on the Featherstone Peridot and Granite. This because I was mostly looking for tents for 1 person, and sized being what they are nowadays, 1 persona is (to me) more comfortable in a 2p tent.Anyways. I was hesitant to recommend the Featherstons until I had tried one myself, so I ordered the 2p Granite (the orange one!) and took it with me in a couple camps. As luck would have it, we had both very potent winds and fierce rain for a couple nights and days. There were all kinds of tents on the camp, and I'm happy to say the Featherstone was very solid, not a drop of water got inside, and resisted wind like a champ. So with that little bit of data, and still a bit hesitant, I pulled the triggered and ordered 2 more. And then 2 more! As people are trying both the Granite (orange) and Peridot (green) , we are finding them to be very well built tents, fairly spacious (which was a bit of a surprise, they actually fit 2 grown women and a man/woman combo :) ) , very resistant to wind and rain. They even come with a footprint, which is a nice add on that other companies will charge you premium for.My only knock is the weight, which at almost 5 pounds is quite a bit to take camping if you have to hike for a long distance. But even so, it's a 2P tent! so if you happen to share the weight with someone else, it's much more manageable, and you can always leave the footprint at home to make it lighter. Far as I can tell the only difference between both models (green and orange) is a bit more of cold/wind resistance on the Peridot (green) but that's me speculating a tad.Honestly, for the price (109US at the time of writing this review) this is: a very well built, easy to setup, not terribly heavy, footprint including, solid, nice and good quality tent. Kudos to Featherstone for this offering. Keep on trucking lads, just don't get too big headed and raise prices on us now alright?

So far so good: responsive customer service, good quality, fantastic packability
Initial impressions (will update after some use- hopefully to 5 stars): I'm very pleased with how easy it was to set up and fold/roll back into the bag (at least while clean and dry during the test set up in the home). I'm certainly not an experienced, hardcore backpacker and even I didn't need instructions (but they were sent by email later anyway-handy). The head room is great, and the packed-down size and weight are excellent for the price- not actually "ultralight" if using for one person, but if splitting the weight amongst 2 since this is a 2-person tent, it's less than 3lbs per person and will easily fit in a carry on if you are traveling with your tent (in the pictures, you will see the tent inside my Osprey Porter 46L bag). I like the tent's two entries and hook in the middle for a light as well as net for storing things above. I like the 2 equally sized vestibules of the rainfly as well as the ability to roll all the doors back. The plastic used for the clips are a bit concerning, and i wish there was a better way to secure the cross pole section to the rainfly, but i feel better knowing it has a lifetime warranty. I'm hoping the quality proves to hold over time. So far, customer service by email has been prompt and excellent.More detail:1. Pole: the one-pole feature was surprisingly easy to setup- popped right into place. I curved it very gently into the grommets because i wanted to be careful not to snap anything. Seems sturdy so far. I actually had a harder time deciding how to fold the pole back into place so as not to put undue strain on the elastic inside the pole- looks like normal elastic cord, nothing particularly heavy duty, so i hope it holds up.2. Outer bag & fit: All of it fit back into the bag with no problems for me, but i see that my bag looks different from the ones i've seen in pictures from 2017 reviews- perhaps Featherstone made them bigger? Of note: the outer bag on mine is certainly not a water tight design (simple drawcord closure, with a small strap on the opposite end)- something you may want to know if you strap your tent to the outside of your pack, whereas the old outer bags look like they might have had a roll-down-and-clip kind of design you see on "dry bags".3. Crosspole & rainfly possible concern: Wish there was something to secure the rain fly to the cross pole. The area where the cross pole hits the rainfly does seem well sewn and thicker, so i'm hoping it doesn't slip or cause a hole. Time will tell.4. Quality: Mine looks good- seams and zippers seem alright, no loose strings. Will update with time. The longevity of the plastic of the clips worries me a bit...hoping they don't break. I feel better knowing there is a lifetime warranty.5. Ease of setup/teardown: I did a test of both a full setup (ground cloth, tent, pole, and rainfly) and the light setup (just the ground cloth, pole, and rainfly). Both were very easy and intuitive. The tear down was also quite easy. I spent the most time deciding how to fold the poles back up. The poles fit back in the bag they came in with no issues. The whole package also fit very easily back into my bag, at least while clean and dry during my test. I'll check in about this after real use.6. Packability: I really wanted a lightweight tent i could take in a standard airline-approved carry on as well as on backpack or bike, but didn't cost an arm and a leg. I'm a casual user and don't need to be spending $$$$ on the most advanced equipment, but i'm also the type of person who does a lot of research and wants anything i buy to be good quality and last a long time. Also wanted something that could double as a sun shade for the beach or outdoor festivals when i didn't want to use the tent, so it was important for me that the fly could be opened from both sides and used with the poles and ground cloth WITHOUT the tent. This fit the bill!

Looks absolutely perfect
This tent looks amazing. I am so excited to try it out in the mountains and in the Ag society field tomorrow night. I love how the poles are all attached for such a fast and easy setup. I love I will be able to pull into my campsite in lamont, have a tent and bed set up in litterally under 5 minutes BY MYSELF, the gi watch bulls buck. To say I am excited is an understatement. The fabric feels too thin to be as waterproof as it says it is, which is a touch concerning as may in Alberta is either fire season, winter or flood season it seems. But yall I am so excited to give it a shot. The footprint is perfect, I read reviews that there is a danger for the cross pole to poke through the fly, but my fly has a re-inforced pouch specially for that to be prevented. I am not at all worried. Like I said to be continued upon my upcoming camping trip!.

LOVE !!!
I love this tent! My friend had one which prompted me to get this! I loved the 360 mosquito net walls that allowed for lots of air flow and beautiful starry night views! It's super lightweight! I only wish that the bags that all the pieces came in were a little roomier. It was a tight squeeze getting all the gear back in the final bag. Also, I think there were not sufficient amount of pegs for the tent and the fly combined. A few broke also so that sucked big time! Quality isn't top of the line, but it also isn't your mega box store no name brand either. Now if I can just stay up late enough to see the Aurora Borealis!
