Not....
...what I was expecting.I have no prior experience with Acai powder, so my ignorance will now be on display for you to snicker at.When you say Acai Berry to me, I'm thinking, "mmmm..., berries...."Doing low carb, berries are about the only fruit I eat. These "net out" to zero carbs per serving; so, okay, I'll bite. So, here's my ignorance, the "not what I was expecting"....This doesn't taste like berries.Okay, you Acai veterans, go ahead and laugh.I tasted this beautifully deep purple colored powder, right out of the bag.Uh...it's....more like savory; kind of an earthy flavor; not quite mushroom earthy but no sweetness or tang like a raspberry or blueberry...You ever seen purple potatoes??The next time I make cauliflower mashed "fauxtatoes", this is going in there.I will enjoy the color and the extra nutrients this will add to that dish.Beyond that, and me tasting it out of the bag, I made myself a vanilla protein drink.Tasted it without this in it; vanilla.Put this in (1 1/2 teaspoons is the "serving size" so that's what I used). It was mixed in with the scoop of no sugar vanilla protein powder and 10 ounces of no sugar vanilla almond milk.Again, the flavor I got was a slightly earthy vanilla flavored protein drink.I hope this helps you Acai novices have a good sense of what to expect. This appears to be a quality product; I will enjoy using it in my "fauxtatoes".I hope this review has enabled you to make an informed purchase decision.I rarely give an overall 5 star rating.

Good quality
Freeze dried acai doesn’t taste like blueberries or something despite what other pictures on beverages featuring it may make us believe. When you open the bag you’ll be left with a kind of moist clumpy looking dirt. This freeze dried powder from Wilderness Poets seems to be good quality. It’s got a nice tangy and earthy flavor. Because you don’t need a lot of it, if you mix it up in a smoothie or something, you likely wont notice the flavor very much as it is not overpowering. One thing I’m disappointed by is that the bag encourages you to visit the website for recipes. When I tried to do so, recipes were not readily available and I had to search for the product. There is a recipe drop down option on the product page but it just shows you 2 pictures with no recipes.I am happy with the product. At the moment its just under $12 for the 3.5oz bag which if you follow the serving recommendations of 3g, can last you 33 days (total weight is listed at 99g). That’s pretty affordable as far as supplements go. A 1lb bag will last you about 5 months (453g total/3g serving = 151 days ~ 5 months). It costs $40. This will save you a lot of money over time if multiple people in the house are taking the supplement or you just intend to take it long term.

Not Quite For Me
I fell in love with Açaí during a trip to Rio de Janeiro over 20 years ago. When I returned I wanted more of that energy boosting, vitality reviving quirky yet juicy berry tasting goodness that I drank in deep purple smoothies and ate with yogurt. I searched, but alas Açaí had not become mainstream health food here in the USA yet. Today, of course, you can get Açaí anything and everything almost anywhere.I decided to try the powder form for the first time with this product. I eagerly opened the packet. Color: purple. Texture: pulverized. Taste: gardening soil. Yep, I had to do a double take and reread the package. Then I discovered that Açaí powder is naturally very (oh, and apparently they mean VERY) earthy. The quirky berry flavor I like did not survive the powdering process. Now, I’m sometimes a reasonable person. This is not a fault of the product. The product is apparently exactly as it should be. We are just not a good match. If you don’t like cloying earthy flavors, I won’t recommend you try it without a plan. A GOOD plan to disguise it. Otherwise you will be left a bit forlorn, like me. Wishing for berries.

A great deal, cause a little goes a very long way 👍! Good stuff!
This is such a great supplemental source of nutrition to take. There are many wonderful health benefits from Açaí. I’d recommend this product to anybody, as it may seem like a pricy ‘ingredient’ to add to your diet, HOWEVER, it’s really not when you see how little you need to use on a daily basis. A tiny bit is all you need, as this has a full, robust taste that you do not need much of. Add it to your smoothie, add it to yogurt. These are my favorite ways to use this powder. It is really good for you, and even tastes good when mixed into these two things, at least. I cannot speak for more then that, but that’s my fave way to take this powder!I love this most for the brain. I’ve had many head injuries, memory issues, and a history of dementia in my family, so this is a highly important thing for me to take, and snacking on blueberries is not always an option. *Açaí has similar health benefits to blueberries, and is in the same ‘berry family.’*. They are filled with antioxidants. They also help with weight loss, memory, arthritis, Inflammation, overall wellness, and the list goes on.This is a great price for this bag. Buying in bigger bulk saves you even more $ in the long run, but I expect this smallest size bag to still last me a decent amount of time. It’s worth it!5 stars!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I hope my review is helpful :).

Don’t expect berry flavor
I keep getting this confused with elderberry. Açaí looks like moist dirt and has a sourness too it and it doesn’t taste at all like berry, unlike elderberry which tastes really good, this does not taste good at all. I understand it’s healthy and this is much like another brand I accidentally ordered, so this seems to be as it should. It’s not bad mixed in a smoothie, all it adds is a little tartness to the flavor and all the health benefits it’s known for. Might be good for me and it better be because I certainly wouldn’t eat this for the flavor. The serving is just 1.5t. You won’t taste that little in a smoothie. Your brain will love it your tastebuds probably won’t notice it. It seems like a fresh product.
