ESR 1 Pack Paper-Feel Magnetic Screen Protector for iPad Pro 11-in M5/M4

It is so easy to install and I loved the fact that I can use it on my already installed screen protector. Since it only has magnet on the top n bottom part when you start writing you can feel the very little gap between the screen and this magnetic protector. I am not saying it’s bad, it just feels a little different at first. Then it will give you enough fraction to make it feel like paper. Obviously it’s not real paper but if you are someone who cares about writing experience, you will like it. It does make your screen look little blur (idc) but it’s not privacy protector or anything. Also I don’t think it’s something that will be able to protect your screen bcz it’s so thin (i am not sure though). I would say it’s mainly a writing accessory for iPad.Overall, I like it. (Gentle reminder: since it’s a paper like screen protector, I think it’s better not to use your actual apple pencil tip for writing.)

I like the matte finish and the feel when writing. It adds just enough resistance that it feels more like paper than glass, and it gives me better pen control, or at least it feels that way during note taking. I use this on top of a glass screen protector, and that does introduce some tradeoffs. There is a slight loss of precision where the pen does not land exactly where I expect. It is close enough for general notes, but if you are doing precision drawing, stacking it over glass is probably not ideal. Adhesion is mixed. It attaches magnetically and with some tackiness, but I do have issues with it peeling off occasionally, which again may be due to the glass protector underneath. When it is installed, swiping up from the bottom can be frustrating and often takes multiple attempts. I mainly use this during flights. The matte finish dramatically reduces glare, which makes watching movies much more enjoyable on a plane. Day to day, I only put it on for heavier note taking sessions. It comes with a very nice plastic cover and sleeve, which I appreciate, but I still feel the need to thoroughly clean my screen and both sides of the protector every time I use it. I am not sure I would automatically replace it, but I might, simply because I value the matte finish so much in high glare situations. Maybe not the best solution when used over a glass screen protector. P.S. - It is worth noting that, after I posted this review, the seller reached out and offered me a full refund. While I am not delighted with the product, I am satisfied, and I declined the offer. You should take heart in knowing ESR stands fully behind its products. Because of that level of service, I bumped my review from a 3-star to a 4-star review. Great customer service is worth a star.

This was easy to apply, but recommend putting it on after the case because the edges can brush against the case.

Maybe I just got sent the wrong one, but I had an extremely difficult time lining up the screen protector as mine doesn’t seem to be magnetic. It also acts like it’s just an adhesive screen so I won’t be taking mine off which is a bummer. As far as the quality goes, it’s not bad! It definitely makes the screen gritty like paper which is super cool, but be mindful - it will make your screen look matte and washed out (though all textured screen protectors will do that) It feels high quality but looks out of place on the iPad… Wouldn’t be much of a problem since you should be able to easily take it on and off, but since that’s not the case with mine, it is something to be weary of. Also, it works great with the Apple Magic Keyboard case since it’s not too thick. Overall, it’s a great inexpensive option for your iPad if you’re looking for a textured screen film for writing or drawing but beware - I was expecting it to be magnetic and since mine isn’t, it might not be as removable as you think.

This is definitely the one to buy! I tried another that was on sale, a more traditional kind that stays on permanently, and it was terrible. It came with two and BOTH had major bubble and streak issues. But this isn’t about the other one. This ESR type is perfect. The feel is fantastic, it is barely noticeable, and all of the Pencil Pro tips I’ve tried work great on this screen. I haven’t tried to take it off and reapply (I don’t plan to, really), and I’ve only used it a few times so far, so TBD on long-term. Yes it’s more expensive, but it’s very worth it!

Good screen protectorl, paper feel but eats the points of the pen as any other. I would just remove the word UP and would be perfect.

The idea is extremely cool, but in practice it’s not great. I’ve had it for about a year now, and mind you, I hardly use my ipad. From the beginning the paper feel is very lacking. You can hardly hear the roughness as you would with a dedicated matte screen protector. It practically feels smooth. The adhesive/magnet will start to fail; so far only the too right corner stopped sticking. If you hardly ever use your apple pencil then this is fine. If you aftually intend to write/draw frequently get a dedicated paper feel screen protector.
