This Orgoue pirate accessories set contains a plastic sword (32cm long so not too large for children), a 19cm telescope, eye patch, bandana, pouch with 10 gold coins and a clip on earring.This was ordered for Halloween but has already been enthusiastically worn (including a bedtime battle to remove the bandana!).At the time of review, this was priced at £6.49 (down from an original £7.99) which is good value for money.

This is a fun little set with all the accessories a pirate could need. I got this set to go with an outfit I got for my child, and they are delighted with it all. There is a clip on gold hoop earring that sits comfortably on the ear without pinching too much. There is a stretchy red bandana to tie around your head. There is a black drawstring treasure bag with a skull and crossbones on it. There is a mini telescope that can fit in the little treasure bag. There are gold coins for the treasure bag. To complete the pirate, look there is an eyepatch and pirate cutlass. My kid has been running around with the cutlass since it arrived. It is light and made from thin soft plastic. It's a great costume piece but would likely bend with rough play. My kid likes to slide it into the belt of their pirate outfit with the treasure bag hanging from the other side. This set really helped complete the look. My kid is super happy with it all.

We are going to a fancy dress event later in the year and the theme is “Pirates” so have been looking out for items to add to our costumes. This seven piece set is perfect! It includes a red pirate turban (perfect if you are not a fan of hats) a classic eye patch a knife (not sharp!) an eyeglass telescope, a clip on gold earring and a booty bag complete with gold coins. All this for well under ten pounds is an absolute bargain. The items are great quality and will certainly last more than one use, making them perfect for your prop box. Great for children and adults alike.

The media could not be loaded. I will get straight to the point. This is a cheap product, everything in this set look and feel cheap. But I’m fine with that for various reasons. Firstly the price. You get what you pay for. Second, I wasn’t sure how much my son will like it. Finally, I know my son will get bored sooner rather than later. If you child is a huge pirate fan, you know they will play with it in the long term, consider a better and more expensive set.The set as I stated, looks and feels cheap. The sword is thin and all plastic. It is in two pieces, held together with one screw. The bandana is actually nice and can be used for other activities. The earring is bad. It just didn’t work. It kept on falling. It went to the bin eventually. Binocular isn’t functional. Just for looks.Now, my son has for the past two days, played with the set. Mainly with the sword and bandana. The eye patch, he used it for ten minutes but didn’t like the fact he can’t see normally. We made a little adventure with the set. That’s our way of getting the most from the set. So with a little creativity, you can make the cheapest items into a useful tool for a fun play.
