The Mystery of Edwin Drood (Penguin Classics)

Better than expected
Forced to read this for my college english class. Much better than I expected. Yes, you will be frustrated that there is no ending, but the journey itself will give you chills. If you like a dark, Gothic-esque setting, characters with hidden lives, and mysterious cries in the night you will love this novel.

May be Dickens' best
A must-read for Dicken's fans and the un-introduced alike. Probably his best effort and a fitting culmination to his career, even though he did not live to finish it. Lots of notes and forward information.

Pretty interesting plot
Pretty interesting plot, but the story seemed to cut short. My copy didn't have an ending to it. What's that? That's how the book is? oh okay, guys. Never mind.

Very Oddly Formatted
The story is great, but I already knew that because it’s Charles Dickens and I’d read this story before, several years ago. But the book materials and sizing were both poor. It was oddly overly large, and even though it was so big, the actual text was weirdly shrunk down very small and squished into only the center square of the page with a HUGE perimeter border of blank space around it. I ended up requesting a return and ordered a more normal sized and printed copy from another publishing house instead.

Charles Dickens's final novel is a treat and a must read!
This is Dickens's final and unfinished novel featuring the intriguing John Jasper and Miss Rosa Bud! The novel opens in an opium den and then moves to a quiet cathedral town where the mystery begins to unfold. As is typical of Dickens's later novels this is a darker novel with an intricately woven plot that is gripping and exciting. The characters are well developed and have a pleasing depth. The only disappointment is that one never finds out the key piece of information.... read the novel to find out exactly what that unsolved mystery is!
