I set this water bowl up on our back porch for the dogs to use when they're outside. I used 1/4" potable water tubing, such as would be used to connect a refrigerator ice maker to the home water lines, to connect this bowl to the water supply. This seems to run right at the edge of the lower pressure threshold for the bowl, as it will fill about half-way, and then start beeping for the low pressure alert. Pressing the bowl down and releasing it resets this alert, and the bowl will finish filling just fine. I suspect if I had used the included water line, hooked to a standard water faucet, this would not be an issue. The audio alert for the low pressure is a flashing LED by the power switch, and a beeping tone which my wife finds extremely annoying.One suggestion I would make to the manufacturer is to make the removable bowl easier to grasp. I like that the bowl can be removed for cleaning, but it's not the easiest to get ahold of when it's in the base. I typically need to use something like a small flat-blade screwdriver to get under the rim of the metal bowl to lift it up to be able to grab it with my fingers.Other than that, it works for staying filled, and doesn't take up a lot of space on the porch. Having the auto-fill function is nice here in our Southern Arizona desert, as it ensures that our pups will have water available through the day, even during the hottest, driest parts of the summer.

The media could not be loaded.  This is a great way for my dogs to have fresh water. It makes a noise when it refills but they dogs have gotten used to it. Initially they were a little afraid of it but I dropped a couple treats in it and that worked. In the video some pollen from my tree got in it, that has nothing to do with the bowl.

Came with bad hose

I was excited to set this up for my border collie when she’s outside. She’s gotten pretty old and is consuming a lot more water than she used to, and there’s been a time or two she had drank all the water outside, and I didn’t realize it. She doesn’t go outside very often anymore, but when she does, I never want that to happen again. This bowl comes with everything you need to attach it to a regular hose bib. The instructions are straightforward and simple to follow - it prob took me less than 5 minutes to set it up. There have been zero leaks with the provided hose and fittings. It has not failed to work a single time. The only drawback is that it requires power. It’s not a problem for me bc I have an outdoor outlet on my back deck. But I offered to let a friend borrow it the other day, and she couldn’t use it. She has no power in her backyard. After a bit of research, I discovered a few different bowls similar to this, but they don’t need any electricity to run, and some are priced lower. I have no complaints with this one- the quality is supberb. However, there are some that are more versatile with a lower price point.

I got this for my dogs because during the summer we are outside a lot, and between the two of them they drink a lot of water, especially during play time. It seems like I am constantly filling their water bowl every 10 minutes, I swear. That's what makes this bowl so great. The minute they take a drink, it automatically refills back up, so I know they always have fresh water. I like the fact that it only fills when it needs it too, so I don't have to worry about wasting electricity or water. I know this bowl is going to come in handy this summer!!

Works well and stays full

We have a little Pomsky (part Pomeranian, part Siberian Husky) who drinks her weight in water! My husband was forever filling her water dish until he installed this! Now she can drink to her heart’s content and we don’t have to worry about her getting dehydrated under her big fluffy coat of fur! I highly recommend this, especially for dog owners who live in warm climates with pets with heavy fur coats.
