Easy and quick replacement action.
Easy and quick replacement. It has been delivered with two keys, green to unlock / lock the filter and the black one, required to take the filter out of the tube.It took me 3 minutes in total to replace the filter and place it back under the sink.

Almost easy
Having read the negative reviews I was apprehensive in buying but it's a replacement of what is installed already so I had no choice. The instructions were almost completely clear. I did not realise the key to remove the old filter would not be used to fit the new filter and that was what the other key was for.Apart from that it was easy and quickly done.

Near impossible to change - possibly because we're in a hard water area...
We've been using these for 18 months. At the first sixth month change, our very strong builder really struggled to get the old cartridge out of its housing. At the second change the removal tool broke under the strain and eco3filtration kindly sent us a replacement system and a stronger removal tool. Yesterday, at the third change, although the cartridge did rotate in its housing , it simply would not come out and the plastic parts on the filter that the removal tool attaches to, started to break. We're in a very hard water area and get our water from a very old water company supply pipe, which may be why the cartridges are getting jammed in the housing.... A real shame as Nigel from eco3filtration was really helpful when we struggled, but we think it's time to pick another filtration solution now.

Difficult to remove old filter cartridges! But I have a tip that may help you...
In terms of the product, the taste of the water is different when the filter is working, and after a few months use the taste changes back to the baseline when it is used up. Whether this clears all the various nasty bits in the water, I don't know, but just trust in the certification process and hope it is doing the job, not just changing the taste of the water! In terms of changing old cartridges, I really really struggled previously. I have come up with a trick to help. Drill a small hole through the bottom of the plastic container (doesn't matter if the old cartridge is still in there or not). This reduces the ?suction created between the old cartridge and the plastic container. Then just replace using the tools provided. You should find it much easier! Before this, I found the replacements near on impossible and was looking into getting a whole new system...

EASY TO REPLACE.
Replace every year and use the replacement kit provided. The replacement is very easy and the filter needs to be twisted off using the provided handle. Without the handle, it would be difficult but mot impossible to remove the filter from the enclosure. Leave the water running for about 10min after the new filter is installed before use.
