For the money this is a very powerful pump. The rubber suckers mount the filter/pump very securely. I wouldn’t use the waterfall kit, the Venturi accessory is enough to provide adequate oxygenation. The differing filtration mediums are okay but I would swap out one of the sponges for ceramic rings to encourage good bacteria build up.I don’t want to get too in-depth with the ways of cleaning the filters, only to say that Lytech only give a very, very basic idea of the process. If their instructions aren’t modified there is a big risk of destroying all of the good bacteria colonies.Lytech’s advice might not be 100% sound, but the quality of their pump certainly is. If you’re looking for a new filter/pump, this is the one to go for.

Was nice.. Very loud for such a small pump, a few times it cut out likely due to overheating, but i figured maybe this was because water wasnt cold (slightly heated tank) and yeah.. Dead and money down the drain. Short term it was id say 10/10 for power behind it, sure the turtles loved the pressure wash power this gave out. 2/10 for noise as this is loud.. Even when fully submerged. Which is the only way it will run anyway. Lifespan.. 0/10 - i know its cheap and cheerful, but didnt expect it to die after a month of use.

When it said small aquarium I expected a small filter, this is quite big its 33cm tall so for larger tanks (15" + high rather than a smaller 12" tank) The clear body allows you to see when its time to clean your filter. It comes equipped with sponges but they can be swapped for whichever medium is your preference. With multiple output options and a low power consumption this is great value for money

The media could not be loaded. This filter exceeded my expectations. It's powerful and has plenty of space for filtration media. The set includes sponge filter media but it can be easily replaced if needed with the bio media you want to use. It has an activated carbon filter as well which is good for bacteria filtering.You can adjust the water flow quite easily and there are plenty of attachments included. I used the wavemaking one but it can be easily replaced with the open nozzle which is very good and handy during water changes. There is also an air hose included for filtration and oxygenation at the same time.The suction cups are good and keep the filter in place. Seems to be easy to clean as you can "unlock" and remove the parts quite easily.The filter is fairly quiet and works very well. I use it in a 120L tank and it seems to be doing an excellent job so far. I can fit in most normal sized fish tanks or in a bigger one as a backup one. Great water flow and fast filtration.The only downside here is that it's slightly loud and vibrates on the glass. If you're looking for a quiet filter that's not for you.The energy class is A+ which is very good as a fish tank filter will be used 24/7.Good price (£19.99 at the time of review) for what you get and I would recommend it.
