AmazonBasics Adventure Laptop Backpack

I wanted to get a laptop backpack which can hold my ASUS ROG 15" laptop and also have some space to pack a couple of clothes while going on trips. After much searching, I decided to go for this bag. It has lots of compartments to hold a bunch of stationary. It can also hold several sets of clothes comfortably. The material and design is good. The padding for the laptop compartment is excellent, and there is also additional padding at the back of the bag. The shoulder straps are also padded and wide enough so that they do not burden the shoulders.The laptop compartment does not have a sleeve as other bags do - instead, it has a strap which attaches to the side wall of the bag by a velcro. This is good for big laptops, but if you got a smaller one, the velcro will not fit and the laptop will slip. Also, the laptop compartment opens all the way to the side and half way to the top, which was a surprise to me as it was not evident in the pictures provided by amazon. There is additional padding at the base for the laptop compartment alone.The zippers work easily enough. The bag is not water proof and there are several spongy areas on the outside of the bag which can really be a pain when it rains, because they are going to absorb water like anything. It would be nice if amazon provides a rain cover along with the bag.The 3495 MRP is not worth it, buy it when it is on sale.Edit 03/24/17 - To give an idea of the capacity,during one of my trips, i was able to fit my lowepro toploader zoom 50 AW, complete with camera and two lenses, a handycam, two sets of dresses, a 14" laptop, a canteen and few other knick-knacks, and yet felt there was room left for more. This bag can easily handle a big load without much trouble.

Quality is not up to the mark

I was initially excited about this bag due to its stylish design and spacious sections. However, I was disappointed when the plastic partition inside the main area broke after just one use. I wasn’t carrying anything particularly heavy, so this was quite unexpected. The partition was one of the main reasons I purchased the bag, as it helped keep everything organized.Now, the inside of the bag is less functional, and items shift around more than I’d like. While the bag is still usable, I had hoped for better durability. I hope the manufacturer addresses this issue and replace the bag immedy.

I am v happy with my purchase. I did a lot of research before buying this item because I wanted a backpack that I could use for both school and travel. This backpack suits all my needs, and I use every pocket for specialized purposes. The laptop compartment's (1st compartment) design is brilliant, and easily fits my 15" Dell P57F. I keep notebooks in the 2nd compartment along with my kindle is the specialized tablet holder. The third compartment I leave empty except for keeping my headphones in the specialized hanging pocket. When I'm travelling, I use the 3rd compartment for clothes because it opens up all the way and gives me easy access to the contents if the backpack is laying flat. I keep my laptop charger in one of the side pockets, and then I use the cup holder on the other side for my water bottle. The 4th compartment is for my pencils and other doodads. This compartment is usually the messiest, but that's mostly my fault. My only complaint is with the small top pocket. It's not very deep at all; I keep my wireless mouse in there and there's no room to spare.Other great features include the various adjustable buckles/straps, durable material, and heavy-duty handle. Because it's so versatile, I tend to keep too much shib in it, and it's perpetually heavy (again my fault). But it's good at distributing the weight evenly and comfortably.The only other backpack I seriously considered over this one was a hybrid bag that had handles on both the top and sides, and it was boxier. The advantage to that one was that it could be used as a backpack, duffel bag, or shoulder bag depending on your preference/need.

I use this backpack for work, and will for bass fishing (water/food/lure boxes/cameras), day hikes, and photography. It's equally capable for all four tasks. It's versatility is exceptional and belies the description that Amazon marketing gives for this backpack. I bought it to replace the 29.99 model they sell, after 5 years of heavy abuse, a zipper finally gave way.This backpack is much more durable, weather resistant, and feature packed than that one, which I also loved. They addressed areas I wanted improvements in with this one - A sternum strap, more interior versatility and dedicated areas for phones, tablets, laptops etc, side access. This backpack addressed all of those desires, and added the ability to easily hold a hydration bladder (the headphone port allows tube to go through easily), as well as easier quick access for items I'm carrying for all the tasks I listed above.It's not weather proof. But its highly resistant as is. Stuff a cheap small waterproof cover in this bag- in one of the many pockets and you have yourself a perfect weather tight companion. It's got enough room to serve as a carry on for vacations- I can easily stuff 4 nights of clothing in here amongst other things. The quick clip key ring feature is definitely handy too.Time will tell with its durability, but it's better built in every way than the 29.99 model, and I expect it to take tons of punishment. Easily the best value for the dollar I've spent on a pack, and I have about 9 packs that vary from mountainbike hydration packs to back country long range adventure packs.Highly recommend for not only its intended use, but for much more that I've detailed above. Der Rucksack scheint hochwertig verarbeitet zu sein. Ich nutze ihn jetzt seit über einem Jahr und er ist noch in optimalem Zustand, obwohl er täglich mit Laptop, Ordner, 1,5-Liter-Flasche und anderen Sachen schwer befüllt ist.Das Laptop-Fach ist gepolstert und mein 15-Zoll-Laptop passt super rein. Das Tablet-Fach nutze ich nicht. Davor befindet sich ein weiteres schmales Fach, in das ein dünnerer Ordner, Blöcke, Papiere usw gut verstaut werden können. Das größte Fach befindet sich davor. Dort passt auch ein ganz dicker Ordner rein, den man hinten nicht unterbringt. Zusätzlich ist immer noch ausreichend Platz für alle möglichen anderen Utensilien. Davor befindet sich noch ein weiteres Fach, das ich für alle möglichen Utensilien wie Handcreme,... benutze. Hier findet man auch schnell alles wieder, weil sich dort noch einige Unterteilungen befinden. Außerdem kann man hier seinen Schlüssel befestigen. Ganz oben befindet sich noch eine kleine Tasche, in die kleine Geldbeutel, Handy oder Sonstiges reinpassen und nicht in den Tiefen des Rucksacks verschwinden. An den Seiten befinden sich ebenfalls tiefe Fächer, die ich kaum nutze. Hier würden aber kleinere Getränkeflaschen reinpassen. Meine Wasserflaschen stecke ich immer in die äußeren Netze, die sich über den Seitentaschen befinden. Zusätzlich kann man sie mit Riemen mithilfe von Schnallen befestigen. Super Lösung, auch für sehr große (1,5 Liter) Wasserflaschen.Die Träger sind sehr stabil und gepolstert. Es reißt nichts ein. Auch der Rücken ist gepolstert und der Rucksack auch mit viel Gewicht angenehm zu tragen.Das einzige Manko ist die Trageschlaufe oben, mit der man den Rucksack hochheben kann. Sie ist zwar sehr stabil und hat einen mit Gummi verstärkten Griff, allerdings sind die Seitenteile zu lang und instabil, so dass sich die Trageschlaufe regelmäßig im großen vorderen Fach versteckt. Wahrscheinlich hat man sich etwas dabei gedacht, die Schlaufe an dieser Stelle (also relativ mittig zwischen den Fächern) zu befestigen, da dort der Schwerpunkt wäre, wenn man die vordere Tasche komplett vollgestopft hätte und sich in der hintersten kein Laptop befinden würde. Da der Rucksack aber extra für Laptops gedacht ist, wäre für mich eine Befestigung weiter hinten und insgesmt etwas kürzere Riemen für die Schlaufe sinnvoller. Trotzdem kein Punktabzug, da alles andere so stabil und praktisch ist.

Ok, so its not really big enough to pack the kitchen sick but wow, this backpack has some storage! I love it, i love the fact its so streamlined but can pack in not only a large 17" gammers laptop but also all the extra stuff we carry around including cooling pad, mouse, mouse pad, peripherals, accessories and there's still room for your lunch bag. I love the four side pockets and the safe place for keys and your wallet/purse. Really well made, really sturdy material. I love this backpack and I'd buy it again!
