Great Fridge
Used this for months on my roadtrip. Worked great with no issues. Kept all my food and drinks cold and was nice and compact and easy to use. Uses a decent amount of power but was able to run it off of a smaller power bank without much issue. It is also not too loud at all. Definitely worth the buy.

Decent little fridge.
Put this in my off road rig. It works great, but will randomly give me an error code and stop cooling my drinks. I thinks it's because of the sideways angles that im on for extended periods of time. I shut it off and turn it back on and it's back to working again. If it fails for good, I will report back.

So far it’s a Star!
First the upside: The fridge is super super quiet! Sometimes I have to put my hand on it or take a peek at the temp gauge to see if it’s running! It has a latch that actually catches and holds the lid in place. I am able to fit enough food for a single person for about 4 days (less if I added jars and bottles of condiments) It runs all day (off and on) and seems to manage a + or - temp within 3 degrees of what it’s set for. Full or empty will affect the temp as will longer periods of not opening it, outside air temp, etc The handles on the side are molded into the cooler body so it’s real easy to move when needed and it won’t take up a ton of space when put away. Now the down side: It’s pretty small inside, more so because the lid protrudes down inside by 1/4” and can make it a trick to pack and then close. Now I chose this size so it’s my fault I got a small one, that said a small plastic bottle of milk is too tall, a bottle of BBQ sauce, coffee creamer (small bottle) and so on will stand up inside but then the lid won’t close, so bottles need to be laid down. It generates heat from vents around the compressor on 3 sides… cover one and the unit will overheat. This affects the places you might think this little guy will fit. You have to make sure there is constant airflow around the compressor end of the fridge at all times. In early fall in northern Az I found that inside my van the temp rose considerably and I had to open windows and vents and turn on fans to vent the heat. I now know enough to leave the roof vents open. I’m concerned about next summer. Because this is like the idiots guide to 12v fridges I had to get used to the fact that this comes with no Bluetooth or power settings etc. this is as basic as it gets!! Plug in power up and pick a temp…. The fridge does the rest. Since the fridge has no power settings it just runs to achieve the internal temperature you set, then shuts off- And when it feels like it needs to run again it clicks back on. The idea here is that currently I have it plugged into a battery bank with only 150ah (amp hours) and if I dont recharge back to a 100% charge each day the unit will draw the battery down considerably. After 48hrs with no charge up- this fridge will take the batteries to 60%. This is all based on several factors- the temp I set, how much food is inside, the temp inside the van, and so on. Also currently I only have 200 watts of solar so it seems like charging is all I do, 40% use of power can take 5-6 hours to recharge because I’m charging as the appliance is plugged in- it slows the recharge process. Its not terrible but it is worth keeping an eye on. I’ve since buying the fridge added 300watts more of solar panel and doubled the batteries capacity. No internal light, no baskets, no drain plug. Overall I am thrilled with my new fridge. Its positives outweigh the negatives. I purchased the 16qt version so yeah it’s small but then for the last 16-18months I had no fridge at all…. I should point out that this is a top load fridge so the cold settles at the bottom. That means veggies that are touching the sides or bottom of the fridge will freeze at fridge temperature. Just be careful how you pack things in and you’ll be fine. I got mine on a great sale and picked it up for just over a $100. I added the 3 year warranty because things break. I highly recommend the protection. I will try to remember to do a follow up at one year. Happy shopping to all!!

When you stop for gas or turn the car off, the temperature in the cooler will rise quickly.
I used this cooler 25/7. Yep, everyday for two years almost to the day. It failed. Overall, it did a great job for those two years. I bought another one today. I will try to repair the old one as well. Does a great job.

Not cooling near as rapidly as advertised
In the product information it states, "EFFICIENT COOLING PERFORMANCE: Equipped with a powerful and efficient compressor, this portable refrigerator can rapidly cool down from 77℉ to 32℉ in just 15 minutes and reach as low as -4℉ within an hour..." I've had it plugged in to a regular electrical outlet for over 1.5 hours. It's gone from 71F to only 44F. It's outside in the shade at 76F. The cooler is level and set at 4 degrees. It gets cold empty to -4. Fill it quick with cold items and drops immediately to 34F. 4 hours later still only 23F. I just had to pay UPS for a box and packing to send it back. $23.43. THAT was even Amazon sending me label. Infuriating!

The unit is working properly in both the 12 volt dc and 110 volt ac configurations. The unit literature claims built-in battery protection but I personally would not keep the cooler plugged into the car 12 volt receptacle for an extended period without the car running for fear of car battery draw down. As an older senior citizen, another area of concern is the weight of the unit. One must not forget your lifting a unit with a compressor in it and if filled with water bottles, etc., the unit can be heavy to lift and move. The unit is working fine but unfortunately WAS NOT DELEVERED ON TIME and I had to make my trip the old fashioned way with ice bricks.

Avoid the costs and lines at C-stores with this affordable cooler.
This gets cool very quickly, and maintains temp well. Not too heavy, easy to operate. The tie-down points are a very nice touch but could be a little bigger. Nevertheless they work, and unlike our other car-fridge they’re there (our other doesnt have them). As my title says, we avoid the lines and overpriced beverages at the c-stores where we get gas and use the restrooms only (except for any Buc-ees which are definitely worth going inside) and of course no need to purchase ice, or worry about the drainage when it melts. Its quiet, holds enough for some drinks, cold-cuts, fruit etc. for our travels. We have no regrets for this purchase.
