58s suck in smaller venues im sorry but its true, this mic take a little more control technique wise as far as distance but not much. Much better sound, much less feedback. Its a killer.

The next step forward in mics. The SM57 is and will always be great. But this is a step up. The dual diaphragm is like a humbucking guitar pickup, only the bucking is done in the audible stage not the magnetic. Other mics pickup background noise that has a metallic sound. This does not. The overall sound is much better for this fact, especially in untreated rooms. Also offers better room rejection in general. Higher gain before feedback. If you need to save money, the SM57 is great. If you want the best, this is the one.

I watched a bunch of reviews and it seemed it would feedback less than the Shure SM58. Not true. Sent it back. I love my $98 SHURE 58 more than ever.

This mike is as good as it gets when it comes to dynamic mikes. I got the 8/S mike as I prefer super-cardioid microphones for vocals. It brings out all the imperfections in your voice too, so use only after a proper warm-up. I start with a Sennheiser E945 and end up with the Nexadyne 8/S after fully warmed up. Definitely a step up from SM58 and even Beta 58A, and best-in-class for its price.

As a singer, I'd used the Shure SM58's for years, then a Sennheiser e935. I'd been checking out the online reviews regarding this Shure Nexadyne 8/c & 8/s mics. I decided to give these a try, though three time the cost of the 58's, but after using both the Nexadyne 8 c & s mics, I'm no longer using the others. I do not normally write reviews, but this deserved it! Both of these Nexadyne's have a very noticeable sound clarity. Vocals are crisp and clear. Feedback is extremely limited, so you really have to be "trying" to get any, they are also a well made, strong quality microphone. I bought the 8/c first, then the 8/s. Both are excellent and "Definitely" worth the price!!!

Excelente micro! sonido clarisimo, da mas cuerpo y volumen a la voz, hay q equalizarlo bien para que no quede tan brillante y tome la bateria o percucion y evitar el feedback, para escenarios chicos hay q alejarse de batero o percu. Lo super recomiendo

Bin mit dem Mikrofon sehr zufrieden. Ich hatte vorher den Standard - Shure SM58. Klar, ist ok aber reißt auch keinen vom Hocker. Mit diesem Mikrofon bekomme ich die tiefen Töne, die ich nicht ganz so kräftig singen kann viel klarer. Insgesamt bietet es für mich einen super Sound.
