610mm x 610mm 3mm acrylic sheet for greenhouse glass replacement

This was bought as a replacement for glass that had blown out due to high winds works perfectly apart from the fact that the wind blew this out as well but didn't break which is a blessing. It's better than the original glass so pleased with the purchase. Just as clear as glass and scratch resistant as after cleaning it came up like new so would definitely recommend as a replacement.

While the idea is great using acrylic it works ok,,,But I found it sags when it meets the original glass. I remedied it by inserting four glass clips at lap it now has taken out the sag

During the so many storms in the UK these days, I needed the 610 x 610 x 3mm acrylic sheets as one of my original glass sheets popped out of the greenhouse and smashed. Now because the acrylic sheet is 3mm thick, this leaves a bit of bending in the middle of the sheet when its clipped in. I would imagine that this will not happen with the 5mm thickness as it would be more rigid. I will however just be using this until I get another glass window in. Infact I would recommend if you have to order any of these, then get 2 or 3 sheets as a backup plan as there always handy to have. Overall Im pleased enough with the quality as a stand in until I get proper glass.
