Insidious/Insidious - Chapter 2

I've grown up experiencing demonic activity as well as experiencing messages from people who have crossed over. As an adult these films are the only movies I have ever seen which not only captures the genuine horror of having things happen that you cannot explain/see but also what it's like 'crossing' over. The darkness,the random people with their stories.. It makes me mad when people dismiss movies as 'not scary enough.' The filmmaker is impressive and has clearly done research in his films and brought/captured the horror you feel in these situations to the screen. It's a masterpiece . Anyone wanting to know what it's like to deal with the other side , this is it. I bought a copy ages ago but sold it on as I thought it too scary and it catapulted the activity .However , I've bought it again as people want to know what it's like and now I can show them. The demon however looks a little too much like Darth maul but sadly it does resemble what is out there. Superb movie. For people who are interested in this I highly recommend books by two police persons and their real battle with the other side. New York policeman book " Deliver us from evil " and a UK policewoman dealings with a demon and supernatural " Paranormal intruder." The first was made into a movie (done badly) and so I'm recommending these books. Insidious 3 is due out soon...I'm unsure if I can watch it but honestly ,the cast is superb and the stories are chilling.

I will begin with a warning to begin with, insidious ends just like a TV show does with a cliffhanger ending that leaves you wanting the next instalment. Insidious 2 continues exactly where the first movie ends and taps into a lot, if not all, of what happens in the first movie and it will not only spoil the first one for you but will leave you scratching your head wondering what is happening or why it is happening at times. You can watch the Insidious 3 as that is a prequel and will not spoil the first two.The movies themselves have extremely good character development and a plot that is explained rather well, some of the first movies plot is explained brilliantly in the sequel, and the boxset of the first 2, or even 3 if you prefer, movies is a must to get the most out of the franchise. There are a few jumpscares, as you would expect from a horror movie, and a very open ended first movie that would have left me feeling a little let down at only seeing half a movie if I saw it in a cinema.I did love it though and if you don't mind movies that don't involve death and gore at every turn then this is a must watch and I highly recommend it.

Insidious 1 and 2 dvd.Brilliant films. I loved them both. Jumpier the better for me. Can't wait to watch 3rd film. Recommend if you love horror.3.75 at time of review. 5*.

Kool movie

What a quality surprise when I first saw this movie, I didn't expect it to be even mildly interesting...boy was I wrong. Let's put it this way, if you liked the first movie, the second one is joint-top, with an excellent twist half-way through that blends more than just a horror thriller. If you pay attention to certain scenes in the first film, they blend in, re-film and extend the meaning in the second thanks to the clever same director and producer's, the likes of which I'd not seen since back to the future'2 or phantasm franchise. Barbara Hershey's return was also great (amazing how she's kept her pretty looks since the entity over 30yrs earlier). If you don't have work the next day one weekend watch both back to back and enjoy!....

Loved both of these films. I had waited a long time to see the second one on tv, and then I looked on Amazon and there it was. Brilliant. The second one is even more SCARY that the first, but I noticed on the second film there seems to be a little bit of a picture breakup but it affects the film not one iota. Fabulous.

I was truly terrified of both films and the story kept you guessing on what was happening, and in my opinion it is far more superior to the Paranormal Activity series as it is written by the original director of PA, and it borrows elements from the first PA as well

These two films really belong together so it is great to get them in this package. I can only recommend the movies. There is not a lot of blood and gore and death but it's still pretty spooky and creepy in a quite typical "Haunted House" manner. If you like this one, you may also like The Conjuring or the fourth Insidious film "The last key" whereas I would consider chapter 3 as inferior to the others.

Foolishly neglected to notice the region setting on this one, but that's my bad. Am now pricing multi-region DVD players...have wanted one anyway. Watched both films on my computer and everything is great. Made me a smarter Amazon shopper. Thanks!

We have a Blu-Ray player and yet the DVD will not play. |It tells us we need "Region B" player. I think this DVD was made in the |UK and will not play in our machine. I'm going to write Amazon and see about getting our money back.

Bon produit rien à redire mais notez bien que ce DVD n'a que la version originale, n'ayant pas bien regardé, j'étais embêtée mais là vendeur m'a directement proposé de me rembourser malgré que l'erreur était de moi :)
