These are perfect
We already have one of these that we use at home. This one is used by my daughter away at college. All of her roommates love it. It has become the community Stanley ice cube maker. This is actually perfect if your child is away at college. Great overall.

It works?
I have a hard time getting the ice out. Also the 3 pieces on work for certain bottles.

Pretty Cool
It's pretty cool... I learned I had to sit it on the counter for a few minutes so ice would come out easier because before doing that, it was a bit of a struggle. Top piece doesn't seem to stay on well, but it does make it easier to carry to fridge. Overall, it's pretty cool.

Great concept, hard to use
I like this mold because it is made for the stanley cups. In having two of those cups, putting ice in the cup and then making sure the straw still goes in can be a problem. These make it sure that the straw goes in the cup every time. I don't like that there isn't a bottom piece to the mold. Even when filled and the top is on, putting it in the freezer is difficult because it wants to bend, not stay flat. The other issue I had, was even though they are hallow rings, they seemed to take longer to freeze. It took almost an entire day to freeze. I will say they were easy to remove from the tray and having the top piece was nice to keep the water in the molds appropriately while freezing.

Cheap, annoying to use, recommend looking at other options
Not really sure what I was expecting, came in just a clear package with no cleaning or handling instructions. I washed it in the top rack of the dishwasher before the first use. The material is flimsy, and the lid does not fit securely. I found the best way to get the ice out is to turn it over on its top and leave on the counter for 10 minutes, then it is easier to remove the ice molds. The ice does stay frozen all day in the Stanley cup, but the effort to get the ice molds is a little time consuming for me and not really worth the effort.

Bare bones usable
Everyone in the family is carrying around tall, insulated "mugs" full of water. They have various brands that they like, but they all do the same thing. They go around emptying the ice-maker, emptying the Brita pitcher, and sometimes emptying the water cooler, in order to get the coldest water into their bottles as possible. Even when they put ice directly into the bottle, it's fairly inefficient. At most, they might get four ice cubes into the bottle. Full disclosure, I'm guilty of all these things, too. This ice cube "tray" makes for more efficient ice packing, and gives us a full day of cold water. You can only drink so much at a time, and as you empty the water, these rings of ice stay behind to slowly melt. As they melt, voila, more cold water! This was a very bare-bones acquisition. The ice tray arrived in an open plastic bag with a label stuck on it. That was it. No instructions. No receipt of any kind. I certainly didn't use it until I ran it through the dishwasher, because heaven only knows what got into that open bag as it was being transported to me.This is a neat, usable ice tray. While I'm not a fan of over-packaging, this could use a little more in the way of shipping materials. At least seal the bag, for Pete's sake!
