Rollo the Viking: The Life and Legacy of the Viking Ruler Who Conquered Normandy

My Dad will love this because Rollo is part of our family history. This is a great little book.

Unless you are looking for a fairly simple read and fantasy story to pass the time on a rainy day, this book is not for you. It is nothing more than a high school student’s attempt at a history report garnered through a day or two of website searching . The ‘further reading ‘ list (from which the author got his information) contains mostly websites of various renown. One referenced book was a kid ‘s book and many of the websites are no longer available. There is little to no historical fact here.This lack of actual research in what should be a very interesting subject only reinforces that this book was written and published to cash in on the History Channel ‘s Viking show.Note: when stated it was an easy read this was done a bit tongue in cheek. The font is very small and the prose doesn’t flow.

It is not a book. It is just cheap pages with scarce poor written information in very small letters. The pictures are black and white not what is advertised. Amazon has lost me as a customer. VERY DISAPPOINTING !

Very selective sourcing on Rollo here. Read with skepticism. It is a well-written story.

An easy and good read on Rollo. I was very pleased as was the person I gave the other copy too.
