Welcome to the Bug Hotel, a homemade habitat where creepy crawlies of all shapes and sizes can find a place to stay! Discover how a bug hotel can create a sustainable, safe environment for insects and mini-beasts by exploring each section, lifting the flaps and finding out facts about your favourite garden insects. Review: Lovely educational book beautifully illustrated - Bought for my Nephew for his birthday present ๐ He loves bugs and itโs a lovely thought out educational book. Inside there are lift up flaps to explore how each bug ๐ lives and eats. Review: Perfect for bug hunters - We have a couple of Clover Robin books and theyโre beautiful and a real treasure to have. My daughter is very much an outdoor girl who adores natureโs so this was something I was drawn to, for her, straight away. Weโve built our own big bug hotel in the garden so this is wonderful to open up conversation about what she thinks might visit in hers. Itโs a great sturdy book with enchanting illustrations . Bees are her favourite so she loved to open it up and find them on the first pages. Each double page has a different bug packed with great information. The butterfly pages are also a favourite as she likes lifting the circle of flaps to discover how a โcaterpillowโ turns to a butterfly. The flap are creative throughout and very engaging. This is definitely a book we will use again and again and treasure together. Weโve decided we need to add some straw to our book hotel too to attract the ladybirds.

A Lovely Book!
Initially, this looks like a book for very young children, with board pages and flaps to lift. However, it contains masses of interesting information about the different kinds of insect that might visit a bug hotel, all in bite-size amounts on the flaps. The illustrations are beautifully drawn. I gave it, along with a nice wooden bug hotel, to a five-year-old, and she will be able to enjoy it for years to come.

Lovely book!
Lovely pictures and very educational. My son's nursery borrowed the book to go with their bug theme last term and really rated it. We also have the bird book from the same series and can recommend that one too!

Buy this book
I work in a daycare and everytime we read this book we discover more we didn't the time before. It has flaps to lift and is very robust in terms of a lift the flap book. The children ask for this book whenever we have been finding bugs outside. That tells me this book is "Child Approved". They remember this book exists out of all the other books we have and make the link from what they are doing to something in the past. The illustrations are fantastic and when I say we discover new things it is because some bugs are just so well camoflaged but they are in real life too! Often we don't read the words printed and we talk about what we see and the children talk about their own experiences. It is a brilliant way to encourage speech and develop on vocabularily. It encourages taking turns to lift the flaps and waiting patiently to talk/listen as well. I love this book! The children I have are aged 3-4 and even the older ones of 5-7 thoroughly love this book too. I am going to build up the collection of other books in this series that is how much I think of this book.

Fantastic Nature book for 4 to 8 year olds
This book is really lovely, it has doors (peep inside doors) lots of creatures, great for children who are interested in bug hotels and wildlife, beautifully illustrated. My 4yr old Granddaughter loves it, so does her 8yr old brother too ! Great book ,great value.

Stunning little book
Bought for my 4 year old grandsonโs birthday along with a bug hotel for the garden. Heโs really into bugs and absolutely loves this! Informative in a simple and charming way with plenty of sturdy flaps to peep behind. Result, Granny! ๐๐ผ

Interesting book!
This beautifully detailed book was a hit with the children with its little flaps. They are a bit flimsy after only a few uses. Lovely shaped book, very quirky.

A dull book
The illustrations are dull for kids and the narration is pretty drab too.
