BellroyLite Totepack (18 liter lightweight tote bag and backpack, for beach, travel and every day)

I love Bellroy products & this is another great one. This is a great bag for the beach with internal water bottle / sunscreen holders & good organization in the front zipper pocket for keys / key card / phone / etc. Really nice to have the shoulder straps when you want to have your hands free. I also use this bag to/from the gym & it's a great bag to throw on & store your things in while working out. (I probably wouldn't use it for the gym if you needed to change clothes, etc since it's on the smaller side.)

Bought the black one to carry in carryon bag and then use sight-seeing around DC for a weekend. It's super light, looks very nice, and holds a ton without getting heavy. My husband and I threw our necessities in and just traded off who carried it, but neither of us minded because it's so light. But holds its shape! Also the backpack straps are actually padded and comfortable. And the backpack strap stow away pocket is super deep and we used it for our phones and wallets so easy to access but at our back so no one else could reach them. I love the deep pockets in front that zip for little things but could easily fit a large water bottle in there! And the inside pop out side pockets hold an umbrella and glasses, etc. I would buy another in more colors and I'm considering carrying this for everyday instead of a my heavier leather bag.

I absolutely fell in love with this bag when I received it. I could use it as a personal item and fit all my overflow from my carry on as well as my inflight travel necessities. The carry handles are long enough to loop over my shoulder comfortably as well as make carrying as a tote easy. The drawback for this bag is trying to use it in its capacity as a backpack; it is an utter and complete failure in this regard. There is no locking mechanism on the adjustable straps to keep the bag in a comfortable position. The straps loosen and slide to their full extension, beginning when the bag is initially positioned and continuing to loosen with wear. This caused a great deal of discomfort, chaffing, and inconvenience by constantly slipping off my shoulders and having to stop to readjust and tighten the straps. For the hefty price, I expected a better thought out design and certainly an above average level of quality control. Too bad I tested this bag on the road while in Europe, I would have returned it otherwise.
