Great massager; Came with a Type-A plug instead of the UK plug stated in the listing (fortunately)
I wasn't certain what to expect with this HubiCare Air Massager when I ordered it. I wanted something to massage my calves and feet after long runs, and this looked perfect, but the product listing stated it had a UK plug, so I wasn't certain if I'd be able to use it in the States. To my relief, the massager came with a Type-A (two prong) plug. I'm really glad it did, because it's my new favorite recovery tool. The massager is high-quality in construction and materials. It’s easy to set up. The left and right sleeves have velcro so they're adjustable for most calves and feet, and once you find the perfect fit, there's no need to redo it every time since zippers down the front of the sleeves mean you can simply slip them off when you're finished. Each of the boots attaches to the sizable controller with a separate thick cable, and the controller has a decent length cord and removable wall plug. The controls are also intuitive and quickly responsive. There are a lot of combinations to the settings, but fortunately, the manual provides easy-to-interpret diagrams for all of them in the manual. The unit also saves the last settings and reverts to them automatically when the unit is turned on the next time. The massager worked very well for both my husband and me. Neither of us found we could tolerate the highest pressure setting. It's STRONG, practically bone-crushing. I couldn't tolerate more than the lowest setting on my feet, but my husband found the medium fine. Both of us loved how well the unit worked, even at the lowest settings. The air pockets are impressively firm when full, but fluctuate quickly and easily depending on the settings selected to increase or decrease massage pressure. When I had to change a setting because I found it painful, the sleeves were instantly responsive to my button press, so I didn't have to wait long for the air pockets to adjust. The heat was the only area I didn't love. Even at the highest setting, I didn't really notice it. My husband did, however, so it's not a matter of it not working but of sensitivity to it and expectations. I thought it would be like a heating pad, but it seems to be a mild warmth meant to aid muscle relaxation. Finally, storage is a breeze with this massager as it comes with a cinch bag (a.k.a. drawstring backpack) that also makes it easily portable.I do have two important things to note about use, though they aren’t problems, simply information:1) The control buttons are sensitive, which makes them easy to use and adjust but also makes the unit easy to turn on unintentionally. I recommend unplugging the unit prior to removing the sleeves to avoid having them fill on you while in an awkward position (so I learned the hard way).2) While the unit will turn on and operate with only one sleeve plugged into the controller, the air pockets won’t fill without the second unit plugged in because the air escapes through the plug ports for the second sleeve. If you want to use one sleeve only, you’ll need to plug them both in while wearing only one sleeve.I have no complaints about this massager. It works perfectly for me and my husband and does everything I'd hoped.

Excellent foot and calf massager
This is the second foot and calf massager I've tried so I have a baseline that I can compare against. Of the two I own, this is the better one. The controller looks slightly more modern and it is much easier to see the light-up buttons in the dark compared with the other one. The massage mechanics feel more or less the same but this one has more control over the amount of time that is spent massaging the feet or the calves individually or both simultaneously. Additionally this one has a zipper so it makes it much easier to put on and take off compared with having to undo the strong Velcro attachment each time. This still uses Velcro, but it is mostly for adjusting to the circumference of the user's calves and feet the first time it is used. Finally, this one has a vibration feature that the other one doesn't. I had slightly higher expectations for the vibration massage but for some reason it seems to tickle more than soothe. I might get used to it eventually.Keep in mind the whole thing is kind of bulky and unwieldly between the control unit, the two leg massage units, the air tubing that connects the controller to each of the leg massagers, and the power cord. However it is identical to the other massager in that regard. Once it is all set up and in use the bulkiness is not an issue. The controller is relatively large and is not the most ergonomic in my hand. That is understandable since it houses the air pumps. However the one issue I've noticed is that the buttons can be activated far outside the perimeter of the icon depictions so I find myself inadvertently changing settings while normally holding on to the controller. In other words as my fingers and thumbs wrap around the controller from the back, my thumb despite being on the very side of the controller still manages to activate the buttons. That is a minimal nuisance overall.I highly recommend this massager for those who are looking for a good calf and foot massage.

Vibration is strong
This is just vibration massage so if you’re looking for more of a shiatsu this isn’t it. My husband is on his feet all day and comes home with sore legs and feet. It’s easy to use and goes on with little effort. There isn’t much pressure but the vibration can be strong and itchy/tingly. The heat function is nice and he was was swollen an in pain afterwards. I think it’s a good quality and it functions the way it’s supposed to but he just gets tired of the tingling from the vibrations.
