Review: I had used an Argenion filter for five years and ... - I had used an Argenion filter for five years and ordered a new one as a replacement. My plumber put the new filter in and because the water connection is located under my refrigerator I didn't notice an issue until a few days later. There was a hairline crack in the canister causing a leak, which after a few days resulted in an inch of water in my basement . A major Mess! I am still cleaning out. I was able to use the shut off valve to stop the flow of water. Meanwhile I had the plumber come back and remove the canister (another cost) and he said he felt the quality of the new canister was NOT the same as what I had purchased in the past. So now I am buying ice until I figure out an alternative filter option. Extremely dissatisfied and have incurred a major inconvenience and extra plumbing costs.
