No instructions
I was hoping to use this as another hobby but it's really difficult with this. There are no weights to hold down the yarn or twine. Pretty hard to push the pieces together. I would recommend just google Japanese bracelet making and using a paper plate or cardboard piece. Save your money.

Best for those with some experience
Assembly of this Kumihimo disc was quick and easy. Once assembled, it measures 7 inches tall by 5 1/8 inches in diameter and stands very stably. Instructions, which are not included, would be helpful. I like that this disc stands on a table top by itself, so my hand doesn't get tired holding a foam disc. Beginners could learn on this, but it may be a challenge for them unless they have weights for the strings. Without the weights, the strings are too loose to get a good braid. One of the advantages of this disc is that it can accommodate larger string - I even tried it with some 1/8 inch suede strips and was able to get a decent braid. Overall, I'm very glad I got this Kumihimo disc.
