Toshiba HDTB330EK3CB Canvio Basics 3TB Portable External Hard Drive USB 3.0

This will be a short review, as there isn't much I can say other than the product works and performs as well as I expected it to. I purchased this for my PS4 as I was running out of storage space on the 500GB I have inside. This product certainly served it's purpose and I was pleasantly surprised by how well it performed when running PS4 games directly off the drive. I have had this product since march and have not experienced any issues with it.One slight negative I could mention is that it does sometimes make an audible sound when it works. However it is not particularly loud and is really more of a nitpick rather than a criticism

Arrived quickly, I bought it because my small laptop, (surface), had run out of memory, I am not very good with technical things on a computer, so wasn't really sure how to rectify It, so that's why I bought an external hard drive, it was easy to transfer all my photos onto it and freed up a fair bit of space. But to be fair, I'm not sure what else is using all my memory, I deleted some apps I wasn't using, but this hard drive was so easy to use, plug in and drop folder into It.

It seems that the reason for a 25 pounds discount on this product is that it's defective. I have 4 WD ranging from 2TB to 4TB and no problems. Then I connect one of my WD disks and this Toshiba to do a back up and, the moment I try to copy the first item, the Toshiba starts making grinding noises and becomes undetectable by the computer which forces me to stop the file transfer, at which point the drive is detected again.A hard drive in which you cannot save files is useless so, obviously, this is no bargain.

Does the job its meant to, I'm just not happy with the condition it arrived. The box was crushed in one corner and the product is dented.I wont be able to return either as I need it. This is a minor thing but i expect it to come in perfect condition is listed new.

Ordered this for my son - the memory on his PS4 was running out and as a big gamer he couldn't have that! I was surprised how small this was, technology gets better and smaller!It comes with a connector lead so plug in and format to be used for PS4 (in settings) as its set up for Windows. When you save game it saves the game to the external drive but progress/game saves to the console.Any how he is delighted with this external hard drive - now hubby want one for his PS4.....

Works great with my Samsung smart tv allows pause ,record, playback.

Only had the drive for just over 2 months and it failed .First when I booted my computer it came up one drive needed checking .This took forever. Then when I got into window I still had a warning a drive needed checking .This time it said it had failed to repair .I had over 900GB of data on the drive .It did let me reformat the drive and I started to reinstall my backup data .After about 300GB it came up the drive could not be found .Amazon where brilliant and I have returned the drive .Will avoid Toshiba next time when I get a replacement .

I LOVE IT!! It is so small but very fast. See picture to see how small this is: the book underneath is the same size as my previous 1.5TB drive which also needed mains power. This little gem is USB powered. Its also weighs very little too!I chose the basic version as I don't want all this cloud and automated back up stuff. This is simple drag and drop method which I love. I was a little nervous when I first plugged it in as my PC froze but a simple restart and al is well. So perhaps make sure you have saved all you work before you plug it in
