Spiral Me Crazy
I really like the spiral lighting in this lantern. It is very appealing and is very bright and has a soft yellowish light that is not harsh. The flashlight mode is a bright white, although I ordered this specifically for the lantern mode and not the flashlight. The lantern is very simple to use. To turn it on, you simply press the button, and it defaults to the flashlight settings. Continued presses cycle to the different light intensities of the lantern. Pressing and holding the button when in any of the modes will turn off the light, so you don’t have to cycle through every setting to turn it off. The lantern can be used with or without the lampshade.Pros:- The lantern is extremely lightweight at 6-ounces with the shade, and the shade adds 0.6-ounces, and the plastic tripod adds 2.2-ounces. It can easily be hung from a tent without worrying about bending or bowing the tent poles.- The flashlight mode has two intensity settings (low and high), and the lantern has three settings (low, high, and strobe).- You can turn off the light or lantern with only one long press of the button and you don’t have to cycle through every setting to turn it off.- The highest setting is quite bright for its size at what appears to be around 350-lumens.- It comes with an attached flip-out hanging hook on the top of the lantern, and there is a tripod mounting hole on the base that allows you to mount the lantern to the included tripod, or any tripod for that matter.- The plastic trip extends from 5.5-inches to 7.5-inches. Although the tripod is plastic, fortunately the housing of the lantern is made of metal.- It is only 5.5-inches tall and 7.5-inches wide at the bezel.- It has a decently sized internal 1200mAh rechargeable Li-ion battery that is charged via a supplied USB-C cable, which is so much better than the micro-USB ports that are still all too common to so many other rechargeable lights these days.- There are battery indicator lights on the lantern so that you can determine the state of charge and when the battery is getting low and needs recharging.- The battery lasts anywhere from 4-hours up to 15-hours depending on the illumination setting.- The lantern has an IPX44 water resistant rating and can be used in the rain or momentarily submerged in water.- It takes only 2 hours to charge the battery back up from empty.Cons:- There is no storage sack, and it would be easy to lose or misplace the tripod, charging cable, and lampshade.- I’m not sure how drop resistant this unit is, or how easily the clear plastic might break.- There is no memory function, so it always turns on to the flashlight mode.- It does not appear that the battery is replaceable at the end of its service life.- The lantern does not come with a wall charger, but I recognize that most manufacturers don’t supply wall chargers these days.Despite my nitpicks, at only twenty dollars my cons are hardly anything to complain about. This is a minimalist designed flashlight / lantern combination that is lightweight and very packable. It is a good value for a compact unit that puts out a wonderful glow.

Great little lamp for camping or power outages
This is a multi tool of lights. Can be used in full as a lantern or a flashlight. Battery last long time and is bright. Great for outdoors with the tripod to keep it steady. The shade and tripod can be removed and it becomes a great flashlight. Easy to recharge. Nice to keep handy in the car too.

Battery life could be better.
Seemed to die awfully fast with a weekend of camping. Could have a better battery life. Otherwise it's a decent camping light

Great Little Light
This is a great light for camping or even sitting outside. It is super lightweight and so easy to use.The tripod is just as it sounds - a small tripod that can be screwed into the base of the lamp. Three reasons I like this:- First, the tripod can be used with other things. I can use the tripod with my mobile phone cage if I wanted to take some photos.- Second, the tripod legs extend to make this a little higher. It can also be used to level this more if this was on the ground. Excellent idea and a great use of the space available in the legs.- Third, I can use any tripod because the this company was smart and used a standard threaded screw port! There is a cover that goes contain the light so that it stays more contained. It is can help keep some water off the main light. Nice to have enough though the lamp is rated as waterproof. Finally, there is a hook at the top so this can be hung up. Would be great inside a tent for example. The light actually can come from the top and you could hold this like a standard flashlight. It has can be used like a later. That gives you 360 degrees of light. There is a low and high setting for both of the these angles. And you can use both at the same time. There is also a strobe light setting. Great if you need to draw attention to where you are at.This charges up using a USB-C cable.Charging is fast. Battery life depends on the setting(s) used of course. The low setting gives the longest battery. On high, I got over four hours when I tested this.I really like how this looks. I feel like it would be found in a sci-fi movie. Has an industrial look to it that I really like.Easy five stars from me on this light for the following: quality, usability, functionality and weight.

A Fail For Us
Brought this along for camping and it is note stable and falls over. The legs on it bounce up and cause it to tip over. It doesn't hold a charge either. It died quickly during the night and we had to use flashlights. I'll try charging it longer to see if it holds up but regardless it does bounce up and the lighting isn't all that great. Will buy something different for our next camping trip.

New Favorite Lamp
Whether you are actually using this for camping, in the backyard or even for cool effect when dining indoors, this has become our favorite and most versatile "lantern". We often use a rechargeable camping lantern in our dining room for fun and low lighting conditions (and loss of power). However, this unit also doubles as a flashlight. Holy transformers Bat Man!The unit is a USB-C rechargeable device that fits right into our standard charging station with everything else (phones, radios, etc.) and can easily charge in the field by other 12v batteries, power boxes, etc. It converts and can be used as a flashlight, tabletop lantern and even floor-based lighting with extendable legs. Although we have emergency flashlights that offer more lumens and brightness, this has about the perfect amount of lighting for tabletop work and operations. Also has signaling capabilities, strobe effects, etc.Only negative is that the internal battery does not seem to hold an extremely long charge, but with this as a known fact, easily can be worked around.Frankly, just a fantastic addition to any camping/outdoor use and at a very affordable price. Highly recommended.
