But I can easily see how it would be uncomfortable for someone with a little more weight and unusable if significantly overweight. One way to address that issue is a small seat cushion. Especially in the bus lines. Well this worked out FABULOUSLY! This stool is very compact and light. It was just small enough to fit into my husband's backpack, but it was also light enough for me to carry myself on occasion without bothering my shoulders too much or at all. The seat is small but comfortable enough for short spurts. 20-30 min would be tops and then you would need to take a walk or move around a bit or just stand up. I occasionally allowed my kids to sit on my lap for a few moments as well and it was tolerable, if it wasn't I would have had to make them get off right away. It really is so light though and that is what made it so perfect. I also have used it around the house out picking blueberries and it worked great! The kids also grab it and use it around the house. If we go hiking or camping I would definitely take it with me. Anywhere you might go that you need a break and may not have a seat available and sitting on the ground is not conducive to your body (like me) this is a great stool it is very lightweight and compact and comfortable. Folded, it measures 24 inches in length -- too long to fit into my carry-on luggage, even diagonally.
