Back to new
My original steering wheel controls were quite worn so I figured I would replace them these replacement controls look feel fit and function exactly like the original ones I thought it would be a quick easy swap although it wasn’t easy it also wasn’t very hard I would say it was a little tedious first it’s recommended you disconnect the negative terminal from the battery the reason for this is during the replacement the airbag doesn’t accidentally deploy then there are two plastic tabs on both sides of the steering column that have to be removed after you remove them on each side you’ll see a metal pin on each side that you push in lightly that releases the middle allowing access to the two screws that hold the control housing in after that you unscrew several screws holding the housing together now there are three screws holding the control and cover in place then you put the replacement covers on which were a exact fit put back together and now it’s back to new I wish it came with instructions but after researching I was able to find instructions/videos online

Seem Exactly Like Originals. No Instructions. Seems Intimidating To Install.
I ordered these steering wheel buttons to replace the extremely worn-out and barely visible ones on my 2012 Prius C. These look and feel exactly like my original ones did when the car was new, but they don’t include anything extra, like installation instructions. I’m very disappointed that these didn’t include such installation instructions, in fact, and I wish I had know a lot more about these before ordering them. I’m so glad I bothered to research how to install these, because the process is quite involved, and it’s important to get it right. It involves disconnecting the car battery, first of all, and it also involves preventing the steering wheel’s airbag from punching you in the face and potentially causing great harm. Needless to say, this now seems like an intimidating undertaking for an inexperienced car tinkerer such as husband, so much so that he is now scared to install it after discovering what I described.

Not perfect fit, but good enough.
I got these for my older Prius C. Apparently there's a problem with the rubber buttons on Priuses aging poorly. Anyway, the folks over on Prius chat were saying that you have to disassemble the whole steering wheel to put these on. including disconnecting the battery so you can disassemble the airbag. I said no way to that. With a knife, I pried the outer side of the old button rubber out of its hole, then pulled the whole thing out. It is attached with two pins going through tiny holes on the inner two corners. The rubber is so thin it's no problem at all to tear through those holes and get the old rubber out.To put the new rubber in, I had to use the same knife to trim off the two little tabs with the holes. It's not necessary for any functionality that I could see. I think they're just there to hold the rubber piece in place in case someone like me tries to remove the thing entirely. Anyway, the new rubber was easy enough to insert and massage into place so that it lay flat.I will say that the new rubber didn't fit as well as the old OEM one. But it is functional and readable and not sticky, so I'm happy to live with it.

Looks just like the originals
These look just like the originals. I thought I would be able to pop out the old ones, being held in by the lip of the rubber. That turns out not to be the case. The side panels on the steering wheel need to be removed in order to replace these. It will be a little while before I can get to that. So all I can say for now is that these look exactly the same as the originals that came in the Prius.

Good quality, fit perfectly
These fit perfectly for my 2014 Prius V. These little rubber controls wear out eventually from use and these replacements are a perfect fit and look identical to the OEM ones. The rubber is sufficiently thick so that hopefully I'll get another 10+ years out of them as I did the originals.
