Great to hear these adventures again
I use audio CDs to help me sleep. These are engaging to listen to and detailed enough as stories to immerse myself in. Mild violence is tactfully handled. Enjoying them so much, I plan to buy the 1960s set too.

Good but presentation wanting.
The reason I have given four stars to this and the other collection is nothing against the CD collection but I absolutely agree with another review that I read - what a shambolic way to present them - all on top of each other; I have managed to find some appropriate sleeves and organize the different stories into separate sleeves which surely should not be beyond the wit of the original providers. Wonderful to have such classics on CD but awfully silly way of presenting/storing them. Well I suppose OK for storing if you never played them!!!!!

Awful packaging
A reviewer warned about the packaging of this item and they were certainly right. The case is not designed to hold 19 CDs and unless you are aware of the problem as soon as you open the box 3 CDs will fall onto the floor. It's absolutely ridiculous. This item would be worth 5 stars if packaged properly.

'By Timothy' what a great set of CDs!
I have been a great fan of Paul Temple for many years, I am 81 now and I spent many happy hours wallowing in nostalgia. My daughter is another great fan. But Paul Temple and Steve and their exploits are for listeners of any age. The only thing preventing me from giving this set 5 stars is the fact that 21, yes 21, CDs are so tightly packed that when the case is opened the ones on top don't fit on the spindle and fall out.......very annoying

Content better designed than packaging
The set has 2 episodes to a CD, neatly divided into 10 equal parts per episode so it's easy to quit after one episode and restart for the next. The sound is great. My one complaint is that the 21 CDs are simply stacked one on top of the other in a box that is barely large enough so that it's difficult if not impossible to fit the top disc over its stem so leaving it to slide around and potentially get scratched. Then again, with 21 CDs, it's a problem to know where to put the ones you have played; you can scarcely move them to the bottom of the pile. As to the content, I can't quite imagine anyone who didn't listen to these plays in their childhood, being interested. Still, I did and I'm very happy to be able to hear them again, especially that haunting theme.
