Love this, used at work when doing wiring or software, as well as inspecting.Fits in my back pack, weighs almost nothing.Just make sure that you have the unit fully locked in place before sitting on it. If not it will collapse.

I got a small bistro table set from here on Amz for my ~3' x 8' balcony that only came 2 chairs. There are 3 in our household so just wanted some kind of cheap extra stool. Ideally, I would have gone with one of the folding stools with a back, but this one was on sale and I've been wanting to check these out for camping or keeping in the car for when we do things outdoors. Got the square seat one on black and it totally works in a pinch. I can store it out or sight super easy and it sets up + breaks down in a pinch. The strap/carryability factor is also a plus. Def going to get more. Could benefit from a cushion on the seat part if you're going to sit for longer than a spell and have seen where you can get a custom fit one to attach.

Updated on 2/27:After reading my review, Customer Service reached out and replaced the stool. I was very happy with the effort they put out to make me feel better about my purchase. The replacement has been working perfectly!==I purchased this square stool and also received a replacement. The first stool was VERY difficult to open. Then I received a replacement, and that one kept collapsing - both as it was set up AND when I sat on it. Very dangerous. I know it should work better because I have a red round one and it works very well. If you can get one that works, they are great. Keep up with your return windows...

Got this to use while waiting for bus. Easy to carry in a backpack, lightweight but sturdy. Had people up to 410 pounds try it with no issue. Is a little uncomfortable after you' ve been sitting on it for a while- would be 5 stars if seat was padded. Easy to open/close. A great buy!

Like the easy utility of this stool so much that I bought another one. Pros: lightweight, closed position is pretty flat and easy to squiggle unobtrusively into other camping or picnic gear, easy to carry with shoulder or short strap, very sturdy to sit on, doubles as a little side table on the porch or camping.Con: User needs some good hand strength to pop it in and out - can be quite difficult for me to push down to flattest storage position. I'm speaking as a small woman with small, but strong hands used to hard work.I recommend this for it's lightweight portability and sturdiness. Great for garden work, extra seating on the porch, camping, parade watching or taking along anywhere where you think a little rest would do you good.

Very useful for parks and places with long lines to shop

This is a very sturdy chair and I had it in the highest position. I've attached a photo to illustrate that it is as high as a normal dining room table chair when set in the highest position. It will safely hold up to 400 pounds so I wasn't worried that it would collapse or tilt as long as I sat in the center of the seat as instructed, not on the edge.I could only give it 4 stars for lightweight because it is a little heavier than I expected, yet still very portable. Likewise, due to some arthritis and dexterity limitations on my part I had to rate it a 4 for ease to fold. That's because you have to slightly twist the top and bottom in opposite directions to fold and unfold the chair. This is a great safety feature but just a little tricky for my older hands.I bought one for my friend also. I may keep this on my list to give for future gifts. Meanwhile, this will remain in my car so that I'll have it handy whenever the need arises.

This is the second time I have purchased the particular product from a different seller/manufacturer exactly the same issue. Sit on it the wrong way. It folds up and breaks and you go flying. I only weigh 240 lb. I have the 500 lb version. Not really understanding why it broke under such light circumstances. So to say
