essie Gel Couture Nail Polish, 20 Spool Me Over 13.5 ml

That's the last time I used this polish,and that is a very long time for me, my nails were not really too bad,but I was going out to lunch and wanted to look well groomed.I put on 2 coats of polish followed by top coat,it didn't take long to dry between coats and it lasted through showers,hand washing,hair colouring,gardening, hand washing a duvet and manhandling onto the washing line and all the little things that normally make my polish start to chip within hours, even with a top coat.I had got fed up with doing my nails,as it was such a thankless job,but now I can't wait to do them as I know they will look good for days.I find the flat wide brush works much better than the normal round one,and I love the Essie shades.The ones I have tried are Style in Excess,a lovely dusky lilac,Hang Up the Heels,it looks black but has a jade shimmer when it catches the light,very sophisticated, Looks to Thrill,a gorgeous kind of pale creamy orange,Couture Curator, a delicate pale pink,Stitch by Stitch,a slightly darker pink,and Model Citizen, which is a beautiful pale fuchsia.I love all the shades I've tried and can't wait to give the others a go.As long as I use the top coat they last a good while,they're easy to apply and make my nails look great.I won't use any other brand now.UPDATE this latest manicure has lasted me two whole weeks now with 3 small touch-ups,my nails are longer and stronger,the polish and top coat together are really very wear resistant,I just can't believe how much better my nails look all the time now.

I only ever buy normal nail polish (as in the stuff you can take off with nail polish remover) but even the ones that claim " long lasting " don't last at all, that was until i discovered this brand. It goes on lovely and looks like a gel polish but it isn't one that you cure with a light or that you need to soak off in acetone . It's brilliantly hard-wearing and the colours in the range are all lovely. I'm a complete convert and won't buy any other brand at all now !

The colour is a beautiful dark coral - oartfect for the summer with a tan! I needed 3 coats of this colour to get full opacity and it dries very quickly and with a gleaming shine the same as a top coat would - top coat still needed though for longevity. So far so good. The brush is shaped like the cuticle and is nice and wide to give a good finish. It goes on nice and smoothly but you need to work quite quickly with it and not be hesitant or you will get some patching. Overall I am pleased with it, it is only day 2 and no chipping or tip wear yet so I am just hoping it lives up to its claims of up to 14 days. I’ve read extensively about Essie gel couture and I’ve seen most people get anywhere between 7- 10 days wear so if I get that I’ll be happy because I’ll want to change colour by then anyway.

This is a repeat purchased of this nail polish and i find that the formula has changed, it is very runny and the coverage is not up too the standard i have been getting, disappointed to say the least will be going back to nails inc.

Looks like the bottle is damaged and there is some liquid around the cap. I’ve never seen brand new nail polish to have such liquid. Probbably just defected bottle.

Love this polish. No polish stays on my nails for 7 days but this lasts by far the longest a good 4 or 5. This colour is great books black but is a very dark green in some lights

Love this varnish and it lasts me at least 10 days and I do lots of housework and gardening but must use the tope coat its amazing

Love this colour, with the top coat the colour lasted just over a week even though my hand are constantly in water or getting washed.
