Roku Voice Remote Pro (2nd Ed.), TV Remote Control with Backlit Buttons

I absolutely love this remote! I had to replace my old Roku remote after the batteries exploded and ruined it, and this one has been even better than the original. It paired with my Roku very quickly and was extremely easy to set up. The rechargeable feature is wonderful, and I especially love the voice controls and backlit buttons. The remote works perfectly and feels very responsive. The lost remote finder is also a great bonus! Definitely worth the money and a huge upgrade from regular battery remotes.

Roku Voice Remote Pro (2nd Ed.): I love this thing. I have been using Roku devices for well over a decade now. I added it to my 'Roku streaming stick 4K' device in a couple of minutes, now I have two remotes active. The backlit buttons are a big plus for me as I often turn down the lights and watch TV in the evening in a fairly dark room with only the wall behind the TV illuminated. The 'hey Roku' voice interface works well controlling the Roku menu. I usually leave that 'always listening' part turned off, with the button on the side. It reduces battery drain and creepiness factor. You can still press the 'microphone' button to enter voice commands when the 'always listening' is turned off. It paired well with my 8 years old LG 4k TV using the IR interface. I have nothing bad to say about this device. Good job to the engineering team.

I purchased this remote about a year and a half ago. Got sick of replacing batteries in my old Roku remote. These remotes are power suckered, I believe this is due to the Bluetooth feature. This new remote is rechargeable by USB-C. Now the new remote uses a lot of battery life too, but at least it can be recharged with my phone cord that sets on my stand by the chair. You can use the remote while charging. I don't think their is anyway around the battery consumption with these types of remotes because of the features. I was able to program/connect it to my roku box and my smart tv. The only issue was it will not turn on my Vizio smart TV so I still need the Vizio remote for that. Overall it is a decent remote, it's definitely an upgrade over the standard one that comes with any Roku device because it is rechargeable. Other than that, not much difference in use, at least for me.

I honestly didn't think I’d get this excited about a TV remote, but the Roku Voice Remote Pro has been a total game-changer for my setup. The biggest win for me is the rechargeable battery. I was so tired of constantly hunting for AA batteries whenever the old remote died, especially right when I was finally sitting down to relax after a long shift. Being able to just plug it in with a USB-C cable is such a relief. Plus, the backlighting is a lifesaver, it’s so nice not to have to fumble around in the dark to find the right button. The hands-free voice control actually works really well, too. It’s super convenient to just say "Hey Roku" when I’ve lost the remote in the couch cushions or when I just don’t feel like clicking through menus. If there’s one downside, it’s that it doesn't have the headphone jack that the older version had for private listening, so you'll have to use the app on your phone if you need to keep things quiet. But honestly, for how much easier it makes my nightly routine, it’s been well worth the upgrade.

I have owned Roku boxes of a variety of types for ages. my first one was a Roku for old ntsc crt 480p TV. was a great box, next one was a different Roku HD box for 720p TV, used that one the longest - what i loved about it it had a 3.5mm jack on it for using a pair of included Earbuds for listening to TV without annoying anyone else... then a few years ago We bought a Roky TV, it's remote no longer had a headphone jack. One day that remote got lost and no idea where it went, so we bought a Roku voice remote as a replacement. it worked awesome for a long time. recently we just bought a new 40" Roku TV for the bedroom. It's remote was annoying, didnt always work. I really miss the voice features. Eventually would just download the Roku App for my android smartphone and use its headphone jack & pair of headphones to listen to TV without disturbing anyone.... When my wife saw a story about the Roku Voice Remote Pro 2, i knew i had to get one for our 40" roku TV. It was very easy to pair and was very easy to use the Voice part which i love on the older voice remote, absolutely love the glow in the dark / backlit function, & love that we can call out hey roku, where is the remote - then it beeps until we find it! ... HOWEVER My #1 problem, is these buttons feel like they do not respond like they should. It's a brand new Remote, why do the buttons act like they don't respond to being pushed? ...I made sure the remote was fully charge. I removed all obstacles between the Tv and the Remote, so no idea what would be limiting the response time... Also - we started having an issue where when we pressed paused, there was a weird thing that happened, as if the TV did not rully register the paus and the show or movie keeps going. When pressing play, i am forced to Rewind all the way back to the spot we paused at. One of the fixes on various websites suggested old roku remotes out of dat or low on power, changing batteries didnt work and although I bought this new Roku Voice Remote Pro 2, i still have the Pause bug... OH Well. I guess we cabt have everything.

It is a good controller and the back lighting makes it a lot easier to use in the evening. Only wish they would make one bigger for us older folks.😉

So, I’ve been a long-time Roku fan, and have multiple older Ultra units that have the remote built like a tank. Unfortunately, one of the tanks finally bit the dust after years of abuse (dropping on floor, tossing onto couch and then bouncing onto floor, and more). At first I was disappointed to see that I really couldn’t get a like replacement for the tank remotes we have, but decided to give this a go. I was also liking but skeptical of the rechargeable battery, as I’m tired of managing a AA battery depot, but rechargeable kinda locks you in. After about a month in, I’ve been very happy with the remote: - Although the remote is light, it has a great “feel” to it, and gives you an impression of a quality component - The tactile response from the buttons is fantastic. If the button clicks, it means it will work. - I’ve charged it once since the initial purchase (~2 months ago), and I only did that because it just seemed wrong not to. This is the remote used in our main room, and more-or-less gets used by 3-4 people constantly for 10-12 hours a day. That’s some serious battery life (again, I’m guessing it would have gone for quite a while longer before needing to charge it) - The backlighting is just that feature you never knew you needed and now wish you’d always had. Yes, this is a first-world issue. - The voice command feature actually works pretty well, although I turn it off because I don’t need anything else accidentally listening to me. I love the fact that this is a hardware switch and not something easily/accidentally toggled on/off. - The launch button is a nice touch if you don’t use the pre-programmed remote buttons for which the various streaming companies paid. - Easily controls the Samsung TVs we have, as expected, and the same tactile response is there for the side volume controls (up/down/mute) Others in the house are sold on the remote, and actually want me to proactively replace the others in the house (verdict is out on that one!)

It is slimmer, a customizable rocket button, same desired quick buttons built into the remote, voice activation works great too. We love that it even has backlit buttons. It was seamless in connecting to our existing ROKU soundbar with USB C charging.

Esse deveria ser o controle de todos os Roku. Completo em todas as suas funções e dá para controlar a TV com ele. Acho injusto ter que comprar a parte, pq deveria ser o padrão.

Es el segundo control que compro para mi Roku TV. El primero fue el control remoto por voz normal, el que usa pilas y no tiene ninguna función extra además del micrófono. Este control es la segunda versión del Voice Remote Pro (que por suerte no compré en su momento) y es mejor en todo: El tamaño es casi como el del control básico, un poco más robusto pero nada grande. Tiene botones retroiluminados que se activan cuando mueves el control y se apagan después de unos segundos si no hay movimiento. El mío viene con acceso directo a Roku, lo que paradójicamente no he visto en otros controles. Se empareja bastante fácil y rápido comparado con los otros controles. El puerto de carga es USB-C. El único detalle es que el botón de inicio rápido no funciona, aunque estimo que es problema del software de la TV. En general, es el mejor control de Roku, tiene todo lo que necesitarías.
