An excellent item for your "audio toolkit" for devices without bluetooth, or with old bluetooth
A lot of audio devices, past and present alike, use only wired external audio connections. While "home stereo" systems will often use digital connections or analog RCA jack type connections, smaller (and typically portable) devices use 3.5mm coaxial audio jacks ("headphone jacks") by default, as do many, if not most, computers and tablets. Most more recent ones have pretty good bluetooth available, built-in, as an option. But this is not the case in ever device, and certainly not with many older, but still very serviceable, devices. And note, older versions of Bluetooth are, not surprisingly, of lower overall quality than the more current generations are. From lower audio quality, to more lag, to shorter range... it's been an evolutionary growth from the earliest bluetooth to the most current generation. The market has a lot of one-way bluetooth adapters. I personally own several, both for "audio in" and "audio out" functions. I have a bluetooth-out connected to the optical digital audio out port on a television set I own, for example, and a bluetooth-in device connected to one of the auxiliary-audio-in ports (dual RCA jacks) on my home audio amplifier. But these are neither conveniently portable, nor flexible in terms of what they can do.That's where this device stands out. It's at the latest widely-used bluetooth version (later generations have been developed but not yet really introduced to the market) and is both highly portable and flexible in terms of how it can be used.It basically converts between radio-frequency digital Bluetooth signals and 3.5mm coaxial analog audio plug audio. But it can go either way (though not both simultaneously!), and is not restricted to only one functionality. It works well. I've not experienced any "lag" I can personally detect, though there's probably a BIT of that (more likely than not, measured in milliseconds and thus imperceptable to me or to any actual mortal human!)When used to pick up bluetooth from and convert it into analog audio (for analog-only headphones, etc), the quality is extremely good... indistinguishable, to my ears, from the audio coming directly out through the playback device's analog headphone port to the same headphones. I can't detect any difference whatsoever. Someone with an oscilloscope and a lot of time MIGHT be able to find something, but I certainly can't.Going the other way... in my case, picking up bluetooth from my cell phone and, through a 3.5mm-to-RCA-jack adapter cable, going to my home theater system's amplifier... again, I can't hear any difference from when I go directly from my phone's 3.5mm jack to the amplier.I cannot detect any lag, I cannot detect any reduction in audio quality. In essence, as far as I'm able to tell, this is every bit as good as any hard-wired connection I could hope for.Yes, it's an additional device, which isn't as convenient as top-quality bluetooth built right in to both devices at both ends of the connection. But it's small and easily carried, and thus the inconvenience is minimal. The only issue I can't really address is whether this will continue to work as well as it has so far, longer-term. Some electronic devices "wear out" over time... poor chip design, poor thermal management, etc... and I can't really comment on the long-term life of the device. But if it continues to work as well, long-term, as it has so far in my limited useage... I can recommend it unconditionally.

Transmitting old Music
Works so well to transmit my old music from my iPod to my Bluetooth player. The transmitter can last pretty long time using a Bluetooth speaker. The music is clear and does not break up when it is transmitting. So far i have used it with a boom 3 device and it’s great. Not so sure how far is the range but works for me.

Pleasantly surprised
I picked up this Bluetooth device with the idea of breathing new life into an old but very functional stereo receiver. I connected the device to the stereo with a 3.5mm jack to an RCA adaptor. Then using an old but very functional android phone I paired it with the device. I can now stream Spotify, Amazon Music , Audible or whatever to my receiver. It works surprisingly well. I keep the Bluetooth receiver always connected to a power supply so I can't comment on the battery life but the sound quality is great and it stays connected to the Android. I'm really happy with this little device.

Great plane transmitter
I thankfully do not fly nearly as often as I used to, but it is still frequently enough that I'm particular about my flying experience. One of the things I'm particular about is getting to use my nice, noise-cancelling headphones to help make things more peaceful without the drone of the engines. The issue has typically been if I want to watch something on the plane's entertainment system then I have to switch to the cheapo wired headphones I carry for solely that purpose. This device resolves that issue and does it well. It is super easy to plug this device into the plane armrest and then connect my bluetooth headphones seamlessly. Now I have the best of both worlds - my great noise cancellation and inflight entertainment!

Absolutely thrilled with my new Bluetooth transmitter receiver!
Absolutely thrilled with my new Bluetooth transmitter receiver! The battery life is great; I can go days without needing to recharge it. And when I do need to recharge, the fast charging feature has me back up and running in no time. The clear screen is a game-changer! It's so easy to navigate and see exactly what's going on, whether I'm pairing devices or adjusting settings. Plus, the minimal delay ensures that my audio experience is seamless and uninterrupted. I can enjoy my favorite music and podcasts without any frustrating lag.Overall, I couldn't be happier with this Bluetooth transmitter receiver. It's reliable, convenient, and enhances my audio experience in every way possible.I highly recommend this to anyone who has a car that has poor or non-existent bluetooth support, and has an aux jack.

Works well in both Tx and Rx modes
This a compact Bluetooth transmitter and receiver which has a useful LED screen showing whether it is in Rx or Tx mode, volume level indicator, battery charge level, and the connected device. There are four buttons surrounding the screen, a long press on the first is for power on/off/decline call, and short press is for play/pause/answer call or confirm Tx mode. The second button is to connect Bluetooth or clear previously connected devices, while the third and fourth buttons provide volume up/down, and previous/next track functions. At the base of the device is the switch to select Tx or Rx modes, as well as the type C charging port, and at the side is 3.5 mm jack port. The unit is charged using the USB type C cable, and the charge level is indicated on the screen. Once fully charged it can operate in Rx, or Tx modes without the need for power to be supplied so would be very useful when travelling.Once fully charged, I first set it to Tx mode and was immediately able to pair it with my portable Bluetooth speaker, and then inserted the transmitter into the headphone socket in my TV. Selecting one of the music Apps I was able to get sound into the speaker and the sound quality was fine.I then unpaired the speaker, and removed the unit from the TV. I then selected the Rx mode and I was able to pair it with my Sony Xperia phone. I then plugged the receiver into my stereo amplifier using the 3.5mm jack cable supplied. Selecting the appropriate input on my amp, and music from the phone, I got an immediate response although at somewhat loud volume, but when adjusted to the correct level the sound output was brilliant. So overall this is a great Bluetooth transmitter/receiver which worked well in both modes and has the added advantage of having an LED display. I’m sure it would work very well on an aircraft to play through headphones. To facilitate this, an additional two pin 3.5 mm jack is provided which is required on some aircraft. The unit, cables, and USB type C lead are all nicely housed in a zip case to keep everything together. I consider it to be good value for money compared to others on the market particularly as it comes with an LED display unlike many.

When you're on a plane...
You're travelling - flying - perhaps longish distance so the plane has screens and films - but, also, awful headphones which do little to block out noise around you and barely more to provide sound to you. So it's a headache. You happen to own some Bluetooth headphones - perhaps with noise cancellation - perhaps not - but they are a hell of a lot better than the freebies. Dilemma however, as, in themselves, they are pretty useless for watching said films.Riding to the rescue - the Syntech Transmitter/Receiver... This has two modes - transmit and receive - easily selected with a switch. For the airline travel example - it's the transmitter that's needed. The device is paired with your headphones - I found this easy - however it can be a headache generally with headphones if you don't do it often - to remember how to do so, Either way - the Syntech has a little screen which provides feedback and status information.Once paired, it's as simple as plugging the short/supplied 3.5mm male/male cable into the Syntech and the armrest (or any other 3.5mm output jack) - and you're in business. Airlines frequently use some form of dual arrangement for headphone sockets (why?) - the Syntech caters for this will a dual converter. I was able to get things working easily - albeit not actually in a plane.Receive mode was equally easy. I wanted to use a pair of headphones which use a 3.5mm jack - with my phone - which has no 3.5mm socket. Simply switched the Syntech to receive - paired it with my phone (even easier than headphones) - plugged the headphones into the same (only) 3.5mm socket on the Syntech - and I was listening to my phone. Quick and easy. The unit itself is charged via a USB-C port - a short USB-A/USB-C cable is provided. It all comes in small zippable carry case. Because the cables are - sensibly - short, it all fits easily and neatly (the Syntech, the 3.5mm/3.5mm cable, the USB-C/USB-A and the two pin to single 3.5mm converter). The icing on the cake is the small/handy instruction "sheet" which is a great reminder of how things work - and also fits inside that same case.Great little product - worked flawlessly for me, both for transmit and receive. I've not used it for a long enough session to comment on battery life (indicator also on the screen).

Super little rechargable device with twin abilities as both an RX and TX
Ideal for our daughter who could be travelling to the Caribbean again – this means she can use her own beat headphone on the plane. The package includes the transmitter, charging cable, audio cable, AUX adapter (for plane use), protective case, travel case with carabiner, and instructions. The transmitter charges quickly and offers up to 12 hours of continuous playing time. The silicone protective case allows access to the TX and RX switches, audio socket and the charging point.Setting up the device was so simple, and we didn’t have any problems connecting, to both an iphone as an RX and from a sound source as a TX to a wireless set of headphones or a pair of beat headphonesThe sound transmitted to and from the devices was excellent. We have just tried here at home on the PC and it worked very well. The screen (in blue) in bright was clear and easy to read. It displays Tx /or Rx, sound level, battery level and connected device.A really useful and versatile device that is perfect for travel and everyday use.
