Hoped this brand would work as well as a more known, popular brand and it does . Review is for: Vitamatic Lactase Enzyme 9000 FCC. Only one tablet offers a full 9000 ALU - in a search, ALU is attributed to the quantity of lactase enzyme and its effectiveness in breaking down lactose... 9000 seems standard in most effective products However, some brands achieve this level by consuming 2 or 3 tablets at a time...wasting money. I chose a brand offering 9000 PER every 1 tablet, and they are small and easy to swallow. No weird taste on the tongue. No weird smell. Non-gmo. Made in the USA. 240 tablets per bottle. Great price for the quality and quantity. Effective. Will buy again...these will last me quite awhile as I don't eat a lot of dairy in general. Highly recommend. When I consumed a lot of dairy, eventually I needed more assistance in breaking down the lactose. My doctor recommended I took 1, 9000 lactase enzyme tablet before my first bite, 1 in the middle of my dairy-prominent meal, and 1 at the end. This was effective for me back when consuming more dairy every day

This lactase product is just as effective as other, pricier alternatives. Depending on the amount of dairy you plan on consuming, and the level of your intolerance, you take 1-3 tablets just before you eat. It does what a good lactase enzyme should do. No more bloating, gas, etc. Just pop the tablets and enjoy your meal/dessert. This brand is one of the least expensive options I've been able to find in recent months.

I bought this as a replacement for my usual brand, and it works very well. Unlike the one I normally take, which I have to chew (not my favorite), this one you swallow. I’ve taken it before eating cheese on two occasions and did not experience the usual stomach issues I typically get afterward. So far, I’m very pleased with this brand. For the price and quantity, I’m happy.

FANTASTIC!!! This is the first time in YEARS that I can eat any dairy product and NOT have a problem!!! I used to take 5 lactose pills when I wanted just a very small dish of ice cream and they helped only a little bit. Now I take just 1 Lactase Enzyme pills and have no problems!!! Tiny tablets that are easy to swallow. I'm lactose intolerant so taking lactase before consuming dairy is essential! I traveled recently and forgot to pack some. I ordered these and they worked out fine. No stomach upset and no aftertaste. Easy to use and I would highly recommend.

I have been lactose intolerant my whole life . . . but didn’t know what was causing my symptoms until I was around 10. I just avoided milk products as best I could. It was nearly impossible to avoid them altogether, however, especially with my love of cheese and ice cream, so there were many days I suffered miserably after eating. The first time I tried lactose enzymes changed my life. I was able to eat Mexican food, pizza, & frozen yogurt with little to no issue. I have tried many brands of lactase enzymes over the years, and Vitamatic was definitely one of the better ones. The price is fair and it kept my symptoms at bay. The only real complaint I have is that the directions say to take one tablet per day, but doesn't really specify if you need to take another each time you consume dairy. It also mentions that you are supposed to drink 8 to 12 Oz of water with each tablet. Most instructions are more clear-cut . . . If it's a "one a day" supplement, it will say that *clearly* on the front label. With this brand, it's hard to be sure, so I have always taken one with every meal, because lactose intolerance symptoms are MISERABLE! The tablets are tiny, which is really nice, and compact, not powdery like some, and they seem to work well enough. This is not my go-to brand, but I would probably buy again if I needed them in a hurry.

I have repurchased these in bulk. I take 3 pills a day and they are effective for maintaining gastric peace in my household.

I switched to these to save money after reading the other great reviews. These pills work wonders. I can eat dairy on just one with no side effects. They also aren't chalky like other brands.
