I didn't use the cheap 1/4 drive impact driver bit it came with. I sent them into dry rocky soil with a 14mm Snap On socket in a 1/2 inch drive 20v impact gun. They went in smooth, easy and shockingly didn't break off. I'm actually impressed. I used them to hold down a 10x10 dog kennel along with some stainless zipties. I believe it will hold up quite well.

Used with my Cobizi carport (reviewed in another entry) as they appeared to offer more security and support. Tops of the augers are hexagonal so they can be drilled into the ground with power tools, then screw the into the tops. Good construction.

Wish I had these years ago. We use these to anchor our camper awning down. Always had issues with stakes pulling out of the ground. These are awesome. Took my cordless drill along, went in the gravel and rocky ground without an issue. Once I turned the end hook on I used a caribiner hook to attach my awning anchors to it as the anchors are a closed loop, you need some type of open hook to attach to them.

I have bought these two different times now for different jobs. They work absolutely great. If you need anything anchored down, these will do it. Use your 1/4" impact wrench to spin them in the ground and BOOM, its not going anywhere.

I give this product 4 stars only because I have not yet used it. It does come with a properly robust "nut driver" compatible with common power and manual drills. The threads are large and have a reasonable pitch. Should hold well in somewhat less dense soil, but suppose not loose dry sand . This is not for backpacking as the set is heavy. The price for this set I consider more than reasonable.

Comes with socket that fits in hammer drill. Easily screws into rocky ground. Roots are the biggest problem, but it will screw though most. Bigger is better.

This is actually the second box i bought because they are great and i have a big tent and i also use these to lock my grill and belongings so they dont get stolen. I use it at the beach and camping they work great ! They are very sturdy and have a strong hold. Jet be careful to not put them so low at the beach or you might loose them but the length and size hold my tent really well and doesn't get blown by wind
