Quality is good but...
After getting these and seeing them in person I just think they don't look as inconspicuous as I thought they would being clear. I do not recommend them for smaller tanks as they may stand out a bit and look huge the smaller your tank is. I tested them on 4 gallon and 9 gallon rimless glass aquariums and I think the smaller stainless steel counterparts are actually going to look a lot better/cleaner for my tanks.

Big study clips , perfect for lid DYI
These are clips that can be used to add a DYI glass lid to your aquarium.I had a 7.5 gallon tank with an ugly black plastic rim with dim led lights emended within. I popped the trim off to get a modern rimless look. I used these clips to hold a custom cut sheet of glass ( Lowe’s ) . It turned out great .The clips are LARGE . I’m fine with there size as they block off some of the gap around the edges . Their are strong and well made.I have attached a photo with a penny next to a clip so you can gauge the size of the clips..

6MM, not flexible enough for 0.250" glass ;)
Absolutely nothing wrong with these lid holders. They are the exact design I want, but unfortunately the 6.35MM (.250inch) -vs 6MM is a no-go. My 60 gallon cube tank has 0.250 (1/4") glass, so totally my mistake. These glass lid holders are rigid and very well made. There is NO give on them at all, so make sure you measure your glass and ensure you are rocking 6MM glass. I will search this supplier for the 0.250" version for my project. ;)

Great for rimless aquarium
Used these to put a glass lid on my rimless aquarium. They are bigger than I expected but they get the job done. I just wish there was a little less wiggle room where the little clips hold onto the glass of the aquarium. The gap is kind of big and I have to push them towards the glass so I can fit the lid on top.

Does the job
These do the job as described, but I would like them to be not as wide, so that they are a bit more discrete and attractive on the aquarium.

Good and Strong clips (but large)
I imagine these would hold up a glass lid quite easily. they are very strong and also quite large. A little more bulky than I had hoped for sure but do an excellent job. I ended up using a band saw to actually cut them in half to reduce the length as I was supporting a DIY screen tank cover on a Fluval 13.5 that maybe weights a few ounces tops. They are high quality and very high strength though for those wanting to use them on larger tanks.

I made these work for a 3mm tank!
These work great! I needed a lid for my 5.5 gallon tank but my rim was only 3mm. I ordered these and added some sturdy paper and cardboard on the edges and it's very sturdy and hold my piece of glass very well. For a DYI lid, I spent around $12, which is much cheaper than many lids you can find online. I only used two of these pieces and have 4 left over for my larger tank (20 gal). Give these a try!
